Yes and so often such is the case for great artists in every sphere- appreciated only after they have passed away, having shared their art and sentiments with us

All the demons he had to fight made him the brilliant artist he was. That?s the biggest tragedy.
I love the vivid colours , and the movement his brushstrokes created.
Thanks fore reading and sharing your thoughts

This uncomfortable fact was the plot of a Doctor Who episode a few years ago. Vincent was played by Dean Forest Kelly. It was one of my favourite episodes of New Who. This poem makes the same point, beautifully.

His story is a very sad one isn't it? I like this poem as it speaks to his sadness struggles and ultimate death. Too bad he couldn't live to see how popular his work is now.

Recently, I read an article that during the year Vincent was in the asylum May 1889 to July 1890 (when he committed suicide), a few newspapers then actually published the first positive reviews about his art.
They were only 3/4 lines each but they recognised finally Vincent?s talent.
A researcher on the life of the artist made the extraordinary find.
So had Vincent not taken his life at the age of 37 , he would have lived to see his art at least acknowledged.

Create use of words about a very famous person. The fact that you were able to use the required format to write about Van Gogh shows some good skill. Good job.

I appreciate the kind words.
Vincent painted more than 900 canvas in 10 years ( from age 27 to 37 when he committed suicide)
I love Starry Night and The Sunflowers but there are so many more "forgotten" paintings that are breathtaking.
I hope you enjoyed the videos I provided below.
