This one-hundred-word story, Loser, has the proper word count and gives a narration of a woman with a tragic wound that has made her defective in her former lover's eyes. Her wish for her blind friend's eyes is ironic.

Your story evokes pathos for both the narrator and her former lover who cannot look at her without a "dreadful stare." When she sees that look, she envies her blind friend. One hopes that somehow the pity party will end and she will find someone who "sees" beyond her tragic loss. Rod

Thank you. When possible, I like to write about the human condition. It's a bit harder in a flash story.
