Blessed Nothingness
Relishing those moments of 'being unfocused'37 total reviews

"Blessed Nothingness" Sounds like a paradoxical oxymoron--but good.
Nice complementary picture art choice.
"Where sense and sympathy wane" Is that what the speaker was wondering, or where he/she physically is?
Successfully met the 5-7-5 line and syllable count requirements.
Good luck!

Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. After I read, I had to pause and wonder if it's possible to be unfocused. I struggle with that. My mind tends to wonder. Good luck with the contest.

As a writer I totally relate. I write in the morning or at night when the house is quite. The peaceful solitude is bliss. You weaved together a reflection of my own heart. I wish you well in the contest.

The colors of your background, the accompanying photo, (and your poem itself of course), create such peaceful feelings. You describe such a perfect state of being that is summarized beautifully. Good job!

Loved your poem. Yes, we all need to walk away from today. To find a place where birds sing, waters run deep and there is only the smell of pine trees, not diesel. Workaholics don't seem to be able to cut loose and enjoy nature; talk about it and never do it. K xx

So much happening in our world nowadays. It would be awesome to just withdraw anything and transport ourselves into that world of bliss instead. Sometimes reality is hard to deal with.
Thank you for sharing this with us and good luck in the contest.

When things get way too heavy I achieve unencumbered bliss and feel much happier for it. For when things are stressful it is good to get away from it all and just veg as I put it.
Thanks for making me ponder those blissful moments when the conscious achieves a good vibration.

The depth of your meaningful poetry deserves a meaningful reply to an in-depth review. Stopping by does not accomplish that.

I find that moment when I am able to sit by the ocean and listen to the waves lap against the shore.... that's when my mind drifts and as you say, come unplugged. It's a shame that we can't do that more often. Life would be much more enjoyable.

An excellent entry for the 5-7-5 poem contest. Being "unplugged" is a wonderful change of pace and can literally realign your world. At least twice a year I will unplug from all my social media for 3 or 4 days and just live in the present world. It changes your way of thinking. good luck.

Your words are important because we need to unplug now and then. There is a feeling of peace and calmness in your words that takes the reader to another place. We all need some tranquility right now.
