This is another excellent chapter. You are moving the story along nicely. Adding another character allows the story to expand. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

Thank you, Lee. Abby was a favorite character of mine from previous novels, and it seemed pretty natural to work her into this one.

Not that I care that much, but it seems like your 3-star rating isn't consistent with your comments for this chapter.

Well, it seem classes and repair business are both doing well. It sound like there are few kinks still to work out on the invention. Even the girl friend student and Tommy relationship are working out well. I hope the new guy works outg.

Time to start shaking things up a bit, don't you think? This pleasant state of affairs won't be lasting too much longer as we get to the meat of Part 2.

Things seem to be moving along well for Alan both with Ginny and Tommy and in his business. Will Warren be the fly in the ointment I'm wondering. Good chapter Jim.
Cheers

Thank you, Valda. It's time to begin shaking things up again, so good guess about Warren.

Hello Jim,
I hope that the new man is going to be an asset. Of course this is set in a much different time, considering $10.00 an hour is the offered wage. Perhaps issues like perverts preying on kids isn't as much as an issue then. With the confidential information that Alan is working on for his glasses, I hope he keeps his paperwork locked up, at least until he's sure of the help. It will be interesting to see where this goes.
Happy Easter my friend.
Tom

Thanks, Tom. I'm happy to see all the speculation about the new character. It's time to start shaking things up again.

Thanks for your Easter wishes, and I hope you had a happy one too.

Let's hope that Alan has made a good decision in employing Warren. I keep feeling that everything is now going well for Alan - and I am sure that won't last, unfortunately. But, so far, so good ....

I think you've learned from experience that even when things look rosy for a while, there's always that potential for danger lurking right around the corner.

Oh-oh, the cast is growing. I hope that Warren is a good guy and will be able to help Alan and Tommy. I liked that Alan waited for the right candidate and didn't hurry to hire. And it seems that Callie is becoming more than friends with Tommy!

Already you're thinking about trouble with this new hire. Perfect, Helen. We don't want Alan becoming too complacent.

Something about his background was a little fishy. Hope Alan picks up on cues fast!

Hmph... bringing on a new character at this juncture... hmmm friend or foe?

Time will tell and we'll have to wait the weekend to begin or find out what may happen.

Good continuation of the story...
John

Thanks, John. Your suspicions have been aroused, which I'm happy about. We may have to wait a little while until we see where this goes. I think you'll enjoy the next chapter, though.

Things seem to be working out for Alan, so far. It sounds like smooth sailing from here. Or is it? Another character always brings additional story, good or bad. I hope no problems develop, and Warren can add insight on Alan's invention.

I like the way your mind is reasoning out the possible pros and cons of a new character coming this late in the story. We'll see fairly soon which way he'll go.

Warren in a new character. It will be interesting to see what he brings to the story. I really like this story and can't wait to read more. You're doing a good job writing it.

Thanks very much, Barbara. To add yet another aspect to the story, I think you'll enjoy the next chapter where we meet an old friend.

So, Alan is going to employ a guy called Warren Meyers, whose going to work 40 hours, 5 days a week, and of course Tommy is going to be Alan apprentice, things are looking up for Alan, well done, blessings Roy

Thanks, Roy. Now, if only things would work out as tidily as we might hope for Alan after what happened last year. But we wouldn't have much of a story if they did.
