This is a poem with a more friendly-spiritual tone. I like the 'p' alliteration with 'peer through the pane' in the middle.
The only suggestion I have is to put a hyphen between 'sun' and 'warmed'
where it says "sun warmed floor" in the fifth line to make it an adjective.

Hi Debbie! I actually didn't know you could automatically be entered into a contest. I honestly had no aspirations of winning, but I feel honored to be mentioned amongst the best artist on this platform. I think someone mentioned that it was rare for a newbie to be considered for such an honor. Thank you all for the encouragement and I will seek to improve. I think your poem does a wonderful job of showing appreciation for life's simple blessings. The imagery you use, from feeling the heartbeat to basking in sunlight is beautiful. I like how you thank the Holy Spirit for another day. For me this poem beautifully shows how each day is a gift.
