Hi Gypsy, I love your poem because I live on the edge of the NJ Pine Barrens/Pinelands. My home is basically surrounded with pine trees. I don't think that the pine trees feel the crisp chill of autumn or the freezing cold of winter, but they do feel the lack of water when we have a snowless winter. Last year, I lost one pine tree, and this year, one of our pines is thinning out and losing it's brilliant green. I'm hoping that it will recover during springtime.
Lovely photo. What I love about pine trees is that stay green all year long, and they take some of the gloom and doom of winter away.
Your poem is thought provoking. Perfect photo choice and beautiful presentation. Well done. Xo. M

I'm pretty sure even pine trees know when autumn arrives and the same with spring. Once again, your presentation is perfect. The color, the words, the feeling, are all really good.

That would be sad not to experience autumn. I love pine trees, all trees actually. I love to look at their bark. How they will twist and grow towards the sun. This was a very peaceful and thought provoking poem. Gretchen

This lovely poem makes an interesting observation about the trees that don't change color in the Fall. Beautiful presentation as always. So enjoyable. Thank you for sharing.

I wonder, too. The evergreen trees don't seem to let on that they feel the autumn chill like the deciduous trees which show the temperature change in their colorful leaves. Great use of personification!

Thank you very much, big sister. I like pine trees and the smell so is good. I like the pine cones and the pine needles on the ground.
Love,
Marival
