I'm delighed you are reading these but you aren't earning any member dollars when you're reviewing work that is older. If you want your work be read you need to earn enought to promote you works.
Beth I really do appreciate the nice review.

I agree about that but you work deserves more people seeing it so I was just trying to tell you haw to make that happen. There are some very good writers on this site.

Congratulations on your winning entry, Beth. The words matched the photo perfectly and put a smile on my face. I guess being a Yankee, I don't hear those words in my passing.
Keep up the good writing, and best wishes for you and yours.

Thank you DIck, I appreciate the review. Yes I would say you'd be more like to hear that kind of dialect down south.

Hi Beth,
This is a great conversation between two old men that shows us how inflation is effecting everything. It also shows how the elderly feel about cell phones. It reminds us we have to do things to help others but it is getting harder and harder to do that.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Congrats on winning the contest.
Have a great weekend. Happy Easter.

That was brilliant! I loved that, and the way the conversation came full circle. I love the idea of naming the ducks and claiming for them!! LOL! Very well done, and good luck in the contest. :)) sandra xx

Lol. Oh dear, well the duck "children" would need social security numbers and birth certificates, I would imagine. That idea and making money using cellphones don't sound like a good one for these dudes who should be just happy being friends. Best wishes in the contest!

Thank you Helen. I didn't mention how complicated those phones are for someone who probably doesn't even know how to use a flip phone.

Yup, those ducks need food, too. A very creative post for readers.
I like that hillbilly talking; it's from the Ozarks. Their speech is to be corrected from time to time I'm sure by other folks.

Rufus and Lyle sound like a couple of characters as they sit on the park bench, coming up with schemes to make their pension dollars stretch further. I could really visualise these two. Well done Beth in this dialogue only story and good luck in the contest.
cheers,

Hello, Beth!
Absolutely delightful!
Lyle and Rufus are memorable characters; that is for certain!
And I do believe that Lyle has a good idea about those ducks and a government grant for duck food!
Smiles all around, Beth!
Much enjoyed!
Best wishes,
Fondly,

That sounds like some of the hair-brain schemes I come up with. He's right about the iPhones. I can't work mine now. What a wonderfully written story. Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day, and God bless.
