What a great memory you evoked in me. I missed watching it this Christmas and I felt sad. You put some very difficult words together to bring this Senryu to life, and it turned out
beautifully.

Oh, I miss those Saturdays too -- we used to get two features and three cartoons at the movie theatre when I was a child, and I spent nearly every Saturday at the matinee. :) Your senryu brings the happy memory flooding back.

Those old theaters that had Saturday matinees were terrific. A few remain that sometimes revive a classic. The Speaker here relives those days with DVDs. Not a bad idea. Your poem recaptures the FEELING of those lazy Saturdays. Rod

My Saturdays were like this growing up for a few hours anyway. Mama worked hard and weekdays were long with a lot of responsibility for me. Saturdays were for outdoor play and American Bandstand. A delightful poem that brought back so much. Sending you my nest today as always andnest wishes for the contest.
Sally :))

Thank you so much! I always ask God for writing or musical cues to write. Today, the song, "My Lazy Day" popped into my mind.
