I'm back from the doctor's office, and it appears I might live. I feel like holy crap, but they sent me home with enough medicine to start my own drug store. I hope all this stuff works and things return to normal, whatever that is. Excellent writing as usual.

I definitely hope it works...No fun filling yourself up with drugs and it doesn't work. Take care of yourself and thanks for reading.

Sadly, Natasha is just plain stupid, and Becky is a fool to follow her. At least Isabella had some relief dining with her friends. Her daughter is a fool for believing her own daughter, but it looks like Natasha is going to find Juan is handing them over to a pimp.

Why is isabella so timid? She lets her daughter and her grandaughter push her around. She needs to put alarms on her house and change all the locks. She needs to say no a lot more and back it up, she needs rules in her house. In my house the doors are locked at 10pm. In my house there are no boys. In my house you ask to be invited. In my house you dress like a young lady. At my house you have chores. And at my house you will never be here when I am not. And, you owe me $385 dollars for broken items and clean up from your last unapproved party. Pay up before you stay here again. That's what I would do. Karen

    Good morning -
My apologies for responding so late, but life got in the way the last few days. I appreciate your kindness and review and am happy that you are still enjoying the story. Thank you.

Your humor always makes me smile. In their home, Isabella is just a convenient fixture.

I wish I had a month to sit down with you and go over your word choices to broaden my vocabulary with some of your fine tuned mastery. Thanks for sharing another fine chapter.

Oh my, do you think you could tolerate this old woman for a month? We'd have to stock up on "beverages" and have us a good ole shrimp boil. You would make me laugh all day and chase all the blues away. As for your writing, you would never need my help. You do just fine...better than fine!

Feeling for Isabella, as she didn't deserve an uncaring daughter like Ava (maybe put her in the character listing) nor a granddaughter like Natasha. Whatever Isabell does will be seen as wrong and the scorn is cruel. Well written.

I guess we don't always get what we deserve... The Lord must have felt I could handle the abuse and maybe teach a little compassion. I don't think I've done a very good job, but I've tried my best. Thanks, WEndy.

That is often the only option we have - prayer. We can live for our kids and grandkids but we can pray for them and trust that God will protect them. I'm so glad that Isabella has good friends like Paddy and Amanda.

Me too! Sometimes we get lost in the maze without our friendships to guide us back to the light. I know without my prayers, I would never be able to deal with my family.

Aw, the wisdom of the grandmother completely unheeded and unappreciated. I feel like Natasha's outing tonight is not going to be a good thing. A gripping and completely believable chapter. Fantastic character development.
Great work, Carol!

Now there's a mom who won't be winning any trophies. Don't worry, she's just being a teen! HAH... Give a teen an inch and they'll take a mile of rope and hang themselves with it. This is a well-written chapter warning us to fasten our seat belts because it's going to be a bumpy ride!

Yes, it's going to be a bumpy ride. I've been writing all day. Weeding my way through the pain and sorrow...the truth and the fiction, wondering how much I should share. I've almost finished and of course, this wordy person has drawn it out over four more chapters I think. But there was so much to say and I want to say it right. I know I can count on you to slap me if I steer off course.

    Slap! (metaphorically speaking)

I guessed at least three more chapters...

    You are not disappointing!

How cool is it you have been writing all day?

    Yay!

It's been a difficult day but a great one at the same time. It was almost cleansing. I just needed to get it out there. Especially since my darling daughter has been at it again.... somethings never change.

I should jump on my broom and fly over there and smack you! I went outside for a minute to see the full moon and baam... You shouldn't have done that. I don't know how to even begin to thank you. You;re awesome. Love you...Carol

This chapter is so realistic. No one wants to hear about things back in my day, so I keep it to myself. My husband, on the other hand, insists on telling you about his day.

I can identify with Isabella and understand her worry about her granddaughter, especially with the way she was dressed. Your characters are so real, I feel they are actual people I know.

I feel the night is going to end badly.

This work has reached the exceptional level

It's a worry when the youngsters become completely self absorbed and their scatty and shallow thinking friends let their flesh rule their lives. Isabella has a right to worry, but house become important, not only for the adults, but particularly for the kids. Beautifully written, blessings Roy
