Things are looking better for Dion all the time. This will be my last chapter for now, but I will read the rest of them later. My appointment is at one so I need to get my butt in gear. Catch you later. Great story.

Wow, it's good that Taylor saw Bobby in Dion's truck. Sounds like that's the evidence the police need to let Dion off the hook. I like the way you write Dion as a nice guy, kind and understanding of Gabby's pregnancy. Dion was joking about marrying Gabby, but it looks like a good possibility for the future. Good chapter! Carol

    Good morning, Carol
Yes, Dion has been proven innocent. He's a good guy and I too hope his future holds happiness.

Carol, dear, you turn these chapters out quicker than this old boy can get them read. How you do it, I'll never know. Words must slide off your tongue and finger tips with the ease of sizzling butter, only needing a tiny touch of cinnamon and sugar to sweeten pot. Thanks for sharing.

In the middle of the night...my brain suddenly wakes up from it's long winter's nap..and presto, the words simply flow like a river.... a muddy one of course.... but it does the job. Sizzling butter sounds good...anything with butter sounds good. LOL The brain got sidetracked I think.

Hmm, Gabby and Dion?? Dion seems like such a good guy, and Taylor may have just fixed all his problems.
Moving along nicely, and still enjoying it! I searched high and low, and couldn't find any mistakes. :-)

I see you have been a busy reader and have finished off three chapters.... I have been a busy writer and have written two of the final three... Or so I think unless this wordy woman writes too much. Thank you so much.

The story is moving along very well, and it reads well when it's read aloud, and I enjoyed listening to it. I wish you the very best with the rest of the chapters in the book. May you have a wonderful day, and God bless. Patricia .

I'm glad that the story comes out well when it's read aloud. I always worry if the same thoughts are perceived when reading versus listening. I thank you very much.

Got to love small towns. Yes, everybody knows something, and the pieces all fit together nicely, don't they. I really like this story. I do hope Somehow, Dion and Gabby work things out.

His answer was too quick. "Not mine. (quick,)

Dion smiled, "Don't just stand in the doorway, girl. (smiled.)

Dion laughed, "Guess I won't have (laughed.)

but Dion spoke first. "Alan, I told you Gabby (first,)

Yes, luckily the pieces fell into place for Dion. He's a good guy and someone Gabby deserves down the road. Thanks for spot checking me as always. Fixed...

Way to go!!!!!! That was such a cracking ending to this chapter, and the best part, I won't have to wait toooooooo long to read the next one. Once you get going you never want to put the breaks on!! Lol. That Jason is such a selfish, weak man. I hope he falls over and breaks his wrists and ankles, that'll teach him! Well done, my friend, loved this one, and the ending!! :)) Sandra xxxx

Brakes...what's that? LOL First, I couldn't write at all and now I can't write fast enough or read long enough to post. Maybe that's a good thing because the ending changes in my head every day. When I started writing the story, I felt like I knew where it would end, but everyone likes happy endings so I kept changing my mind. In the early morning hours, I believe I found the ending that suits me... a mixture of darkness and the light.

I've almost finished 25 and then I will know if there is one or two chapters left.... depending on how wordy this old soul gets. LOL

Thanks for supporting me and always being there with your encouragement. Writing this story has been good for me, even though at times I typed through tears.

Smiles, hugs and all my love, Carol

What a good chapter, all the chaotic happenings of the past was the mystery of the drugs, how they got in Dion's truck. So the talk with Judy was a good one, maybe her life will have a little more success, beautifully written Carol, blessings Roy

I'm hoping Gabby and Judy will become friends... and both can find a better life. And Dion is our good guy! His future might have changed but he has a wonderful life ahead with Gabby, I hope.

Now the dark side enters the story once again in the final chapters. Wish me luck!

Heck yes! You make it all neat and tidy, like Marine's bunk with hospital corners and blankets so tight you can bounce a quarter off them!

Jason's too immature to step up...
Dion will stand by Gabby-in what capacity only you know!

Taylor's my favorite busybody, whose observation about Bobby in the new truck could save Dion's hide!

Are you wrestling with the ending or do you know right where you're heading?

This is great! More please!

I don't know how neat and tidy it is, but maybe that's because I'm standing too close to the fire. Dion is our good guy! He's always favored GAbby but in respect for his best friend, he's never made a move. Now the door is open and it will be up to Gabby and him to decide where their story leads.

Funny you should ask about the ending...I think you have ESP. My son keeps asking every day too since he knows I am close to finishing the story. In the beginning, I was sure I knew because of my own anger and pain. Then I flipped because everyone was enjoying the story and they love happy endings. Then life happened again and my emotions sent me a different way again. In the early hours of this morning, I think I discovered a suitable compromise....
I'm not sure it's the right one, but it lifted my spirits so it's the right one for me. I'm writing Chap 25 now and hopefully I finish it so I know whether there will be one or two final chapters. It's like giving birth...I just want it to finally come full term. LOL

I know you from your previous fine offerings and I've seen the characters kind of take over their fate...steering you in one direction instead of the other. I think that's the most fun part of writing, and I'm SURE you'll choose perfectly@

Hooray for Taylor! And this way, we have more evidence that Bobby planted the drugs. Judy already saw that he bought the drugs and Taylor saw Bobby in Dion's truck. Everything is coming together.

But my favorite part is how you showed the difference between Dion's character and Jason's. Jason was quick to assume that Gabby meant the baby wasn't his and was relieved not to be responsible even though he was. Dion seems to really like Gabby and hopefully, he will make good on that marriage proposal!

Dion is our good guy! He favored Gabby from a far in respect for his best friend, but now it appears the door is open and things might develop. It looks promising. Especially since it appears Taylor and Judy can clear Dion's name.
