I think I must have missed a chapter. I'll check back to be double-sure. This is nicely done, another step of foundation in place. The sentence that begins "not what I thought" has a teeny spag. You want 'cocked' an eyebrow, not 'cooked.'

I see that. Cooked eyebrow. Auto correct must have thought I was trying to say a bad word. Lol. Thank you for this nice review. Gretchen. Did you read the chapter where Aaron told her he was in love with her?

It's only Tuesday and not a six in sight. You have a remarkable ability to show a story, you put us right there in the room, or wherever the scene is taking us. Very talented writing. Now Miranda has a big problem, to tell, or not to tell. I'd hate to be in her position. She has a great relationship with Waylon, and Dougie could completely mess it up. So, what is she going to do? Can't wait to find out. Well done! Sandra xxx

That poor woman has more people telling her what to do that there's no peace for her. But that's life. What a wonderfully written chapter. Best of luck with your project!
Have a great day, and God bless.

Miranda has a problem on what to tell Waylon about Dougie. I'm not sure I know the right answer. I am wondering if Mitch can help her. Does he have some idea exactly what Dougie was into??? Great story.
She sighs and says, "Calgon, take me away." (I have actually said that. LOL)
I smile , feeling like I've one upped her. (move the comma closer to 'smile,'
"Boobs. It was awesome," he laughs. (awesome." He)
He puts his arm around her shoulder and I notice he's taller than her. "It was awesome," he mouths. (comma after 'shoulder,' you switched subjects)
"Go get ready for bed," I nod towards his room. (bed." I)

I was addicted to Xanex in my 20s. It's hard to stop. It was prescribed by my doctor but I was taking more then a normal dose.
Poor Miranda has a lot of irons in the fire. Aaron doesn't seem to be her type. Dougie is a mess. What's up with Waylon?
I talk to myself in the mirror too.... it's not good. LoL
Well done

The mirror usually pulls no punches. It's sometimes ruthless. Lol. Thanks for this. Gretchen

It is always difficult when someone admits to having affection for you when it is unwanted. Men see things so differently than women do. I was asked out on a date a couple of years ago by a man walking his dog in the park. We got chatting and I agreed to go out for a drink. I told him that it was just a friendship and he agreed it was the same for him. Unfortunately he thought we had a thing going on! Oh dear, I had to start ignoring his texts and making excuses to get him off my back and I think eventually he got the message. You have to be subtle so's not to hurt someone's feelings. I wished I had not agreed to go for a coffee, but I learned my lesson. I think Miranda is handling Aaron carefully without being too blunt.
Another fine chapter Gretchen, love Dolly x x x

Sometimes we just can't seem to get things out of our system without answers no matter how hard we try. And what's good for us, doesn't always agree with others; especially mothers. :-) Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Ric. Mother's are tough to slip past. They have a certain sense about them. I appreciate the nice review and the extra star. Gretchen

Miranda lives in "I love drama land." She has to tell Waylon the truth because the one thing she knows is Dougie lies. She needs to tell Mitch about Dougie and Aaron. She needs a better job. Good writing. MOSO (MY OWN SMALL OPINION) Karen

I think Miranda likes her job. She is quite nosy which invites drama. This was an awesome review. Gretchen

Well, if she likes it that's different. :-) Karen

Excellently expressed with your characteristically realistic and compelling dialogue, so good that even a 'reflection bitch' can provide a challenging debate. The time is getting closer for Miranda to reveal all about Dougie to Waylon. She just can't carry all this secrecy much longer. Do we get the impression that something might soon force her hand? Nicely done, Gretchen. Debbie

I think someone else might know about Dougie, or at least suspect he's close. Thanks so much for this awesome review. Gretchen
