I'm starting to think the Tanka is my favorite poetic form. I love the warmth of this one. The tangle of memories and setting work together and I live the tangerine color mentioned. Beautiful and cozy. Gretchen

I'm not sure that this tangerine conch is real but it's very pretty. I visited a very small island called Tobacco island in Belize in 2020 and it had piles and piles of conch shells. They even decorated the roadside with them. I have written poems about them before.
