I worked with some of these problems with our abused women. The couple thought it would be so nice to have a baby It would make them closer. However when the baby came between them, he got jealous and now the baby becomes a problem for the marriage. This is well written.

I wrote this story right after I returned to FS. My family had been through hell and back and my heart was breaking. So many things went wrong and relationships will never be the same. thanks so much.

I'm glad i am able to know some of your story. Fan story help me a lot too I think to myself if I didn't have fans story I don't know what I would be doing. It's because of fan story that I've been able to write and publish six books. I lost my job and then my former partner passed 3 days later and then my favorite dog past 6 months later. So fan story has been a healer for many of us.

Sorry, I am so far behind on reviewing your story. I just lost my best friend of twenty-two years today. I had my cat, Blossom, euthanized today because she had late-stage kidney failure and cancer. My heart is sore tonight. This chapter is great, as usual.

First, let me extend my sympathy and condolences for your loss. I'm an animal lover and can relate to your pain. It's a honest grief when we lose our best friends.

Never apologize for falling behind. I am thankful that you have taken your precious time to catch up. I hope the story remains entertaining for you.

Do you mind me asking how I can address you? I'd love to use your name.

My name is April Ruth. I was born on April 2, and my mother liked to use Biblical names, so Ruth.

Thank you, April. My lovely mother who is now a true angel was born April 1st. Thank you for sharing with me. Have a blessed day!

Your honor, let the record show this reviewer opined that said envelope would be cash to get the idiot boyfriend out of the jam (that is Gabby's don't you know.)

Sounds like Dion has a head on his shoulders and a real problem with his good buddy shirking all responsibility...

This gives me hope. (Images of a knight in shining armor are emerging, but alas, there's a long way to go!)

Your writing is as engaging as always, and this story is moving along as realistically as I recall teenagers being (though that was back in the age of the dinosaurs)

Thanks, my friend... Unfortunately, I've been caught up in so much of this wild way of thinking, it makes me shiver. I pray there are some Knights remaining to ride in to save the population in general. My family is a hopeless case and riding off into the sunset would be a better plan.

Let's pack bags and ponder how much our family will miss us, as we sit --oh, I don't know... in Tuscany? Sampling wine instead of listening to whines?

Hi again, Carol! Nearly there. I didn't realize I missed so many chapters!
I like the addition of Dion in this story. He's actually being more responsible than Jason! It would be nice if he could talk his friend into going beyond the current situation to let go of his selfishness and cruelty.

Great job with your plot and character development.

Hugs,
Rhonda

Dion does represent the person we hope more would be. Unfortunately, bad things happen to good people. Thank you for reading and catching up on the story, but most importantly, for enjoying it.

She'll be better off without Jason, with his self-centred attitude, but Dion seems to have more integrity. Unfortunately he's probably broken a bone or two in his hand. Well written. Engrossing story.

Good morning, Wendy.... Yes, Dion will regret slamming that wall. His hand and arm aren't up to snuff....

Thanks for the support and review. Smiles, Carol

Everyone needs a friend like Dion in their lives. Jason may not realize it now but since his conscience is on vacation, his friend will be that for him. I hope that the coach actually figures it out on his own without Dion having to tell on Jason. Another great chapter, Carol!

Yes, Helen, it would be a blessing if everyone had a friend like Dion. Someone to be there without having any other motive but to help. Thanks again... for being you!

Another great chapter! I'm glad Dion has a head on his shoulders and is using it. It sounds like the coach is about to find out what's going on with his players. Hopefully he'll be able to talk some sense into Jason. I like what Dion said about being a man and not blaming Gabby. Have a blessed week. Carol

It was fun reading 2 back-to-back. Sorry I'm so far behind, but I've been spending many hours at the hospital with my hubby this week. He's still not home today.
reply by the author on 06-Feb-2024
Not to worry...He comes first! I fully understand. I did it for ten years and then...... now I'd give anything to be by his side again.
reply by Carol Clark2 on 06-Feb-2024
Thanks for understanding. He still wasn't able to come home today. Maybe later this week??
reply by the author on 06-Feb-2024
It's better he stays another day or two to make sure he is going to be okay when he comes home. My Mike isn't on going home and two days later the ambulance had to take him back and it was worse. No one wants to be in the hospital but for now it's probably safer. My prayers are with you.
reply by Carol Clark2 on 06-Feb-2024
Yes, I think you are right about his staying. So sorry for your loss of Mike.

Thank you! I miss him every day and every night. He made me laugh especially on the dark days.

Gabby is in a terrible place and has been left alone to make her decision what she will do about the baby. Dion is proving to be more of a man than his friend Jason, who is being just plain nasty. I didn't catch on that the football coach is also a councilor, which is an unusual combination. I am enjoying this well-written story.

I guess I wasn't clear...which isn't anything unusual with me. the Coach isn't the school counselor, but he does try to council and mentor his players. He's impressed with Dion on and off the field.

This is another excellent chapter. You did very well in portraying teenage angst. I do not see any room for improvement. I look forward to the next chapter. Have a blessed day.

AT least Jason's got a decent friend, who instantly saw the problem, and knew morally what the right cause of action was, some kids are like that, they are basically good human beings, the coach seems like a good sort, I see him playing a role in this. Beautifully written Carol, blessings Roy
