As usual, I have learned a lot about a fellow fanstorian from reading your poem. I am always impressed by the 'realness' (not sure that's a word!) of the birthday person as developed by your poems. Good job. ann

Hi there Ann, imagine me being late with this! LOL!
And wasn't that email sad that Terry sent us today? She was such a sweet woman.
And thanks so very much for the awesome comments for Dawn and her poem. I know she has been enjoying all the birthday wishes.
Thank you again, my dear friend. Debi

Sorry I missed this earlier. This is a great poem for Dawn's birthday. I like the way you used her name throughout the poem. I wasn't aware of all the jobs she has held in her lifetime. So nice of you to include Cleo, her wonder cat. Blessings. Carol

A great story in a poem. Very tricky rules to follow, which of course you have done perfectly. Hope all is well with you and your loved ones. We are having a beautiful summer. Just entered 'Love Poem'

What an interesting lady is Dawn Munro and all those different jobs she's worked at over the years. I know what all are except for Tobacco primer. I've never heard of that. Another lovely read about a fanstorian, Debi.
Nice one,
Cheers

Hell Debi,
You've written a wonderful poem that brings Dawn history to life.
I've known her on fanstory for quite a while, she's written incredible poems about orchids, and just about any topic one can name in wonderful
traditional forms.
Your tribute birthday poem is equally wonderful with excellent rhymes and meter. I'm sure Dawn will love it.
An extra star to light both your skies.
Best wishes to you and Dawn.
Robert

I enjoyed you poem about Dawn. She started the year with bang posting twice a day. It was my first encounter with her but not her first time on FanStory so she already knew a few people. Her time here before was either in days before my first few years or before I came back for the second time. I have signed on as her fan at the beginning of the year. It is good to know more about her thank to you. I didn't know she Canadian.

You're definitely a great friend to have, because you take friendship so seriously. It warms my heart to see how much you love and respect those you call your friends.
This is a beautiful tribute to someone who sounds like a very special person. I appreciate the way your two-line interludes end with a comment about her and, most importantly, with Dawn's name. You make sure that the person about whom the words are written doesn't get lost in the words themselves.
Your rhymes are very well chosen and, while there are some places where the rhythm is slightly off, for me, at least, the emotion of the poem overrode any minor issues. I suspect Dawn is very pleased and flattered by your tribute.

Once again, you proved yourself a master poet and taught us so much about a fellow FS writer. May I please ask: What did she write for TV? I ask because I studied in grad school under a notable TV writer. Thank you so much for your wonderful words once more honoring someone very deserving.

Thanks for sharing the photos and tribute for Dawn's birthday, Debi. I'm sure she appreciates it. You did a good job with effective imagery and rhyme to celebrate her and her special day. I always enjoy learning things about our Fanstorians, and now I know her real name and various jobs she has had. I can't imagine being a tobacco primer. It does sound like "rough work."
I imagine she learned a lot being a taxi driver, and it is very nice to know that she can sing, as well. Hope you had a very Happy Birthday, Dawn.
