Oh-oh! Is Nat going to sell her grandmother's pills for dress-buying money? That's scary!
Great job covering the biology class and all the discomfort that Gabby was going through. It is good that these three girls have each other.
I personally think soup for breakfast is perfectly fine!

Good day, Helen... Of the three girls, Natasha believes the world is her oyster and she deserves it all. Becky talks the talk but is careful which side of the walk she stays on. Now Gabby, her life is tougher, and she faces most things alone, relying on her friends shoulders to lean on. They will all face different problems and need each other.

    Thanks for reading.... Hugs, Carol

I went back and read the others. This was and still is a not rare occurrence. Parents do not talk about sex, making love, and pregnancy. They won't let schools teach it in health, and then act shocked and place the blame on the pregnant girl most of the time. I talked about it with my boys, and answered all their questions. I told them sex without love is mere exercise. It feels good in the moment, but is quickly gone. Karen

I so agree. It's unfortunate that so many young people (and a few old ones) look at sex as a game. They toss the word love around as if it was a ball. Thanks for reading. I appreciate it very much.

Oh my goodness! She going to sell her grandmother's drugs? She'll be in trouble if she's caught. Poor Gabby, eating gone off soup would make anyone sick. And I symperthised with her when Dion chose her to be his lab (rat) partner, holding that yukky worm in the air.
Sorry I'm so late reading and reviewing, Carol, my head has been all over the place. Now I'm off to read the next part. Well done, my clever friend. :)) Love and hugs, Sandra xxxx

The three girls have much ahead of them. Natasha feels the world is her oyster to do as she sees fit...regardless of lies and stealing. Becky talks the talk but tries to not get too deep in trouble. Gabby has the rougher life and will be the first to face the twisted road.

Hi Carol, Well I don't know whether I believe the story about the leftover soup. Something is definitely going on there. I have to say they are very good friends and looking out for each other. Ullaxcx

Thanks, Ulla... The three girls are an odd lot but for some reason they have found each other for support. Natasha is the wild one, Becky talks the talk but thinks twice, and Gabby comes from the poorer side of town. They'll travel quit a rocky road. Smiles, Carol

Great chapter! I love the beginning part. As a Biology teacher, I'll have to learn to be more sensitive, lol.

We see that Gabby comes from a home with few advantages, like her friend Becky, but that they are very good friends in spite of socioeconomic differences.

Gabby is vomiting, so something is going on there that may or may not have anything to do with leftover soup.

Now to Nat's house. Obviously a place teen girls can hide out upon occasion. Here, we find out Natasha has stolen some of her grandmother's pills, presumably to sell for money to buy a dress.

Great job,
Rhonda

Hello, Rhonda. Sorry for the delay in responding to your kind review. I a[[reciate it very much. My life doesn't always go as planned, much like the lives of these young girls. Thank you for your time and comments.

The backstory is compelling and the actions and dialogue of the teenagers is realistic and demonstrates your knowledge of how irresponsible they can be. Stealing prescription drugs is serious for the grandmother who needs her medication, and the person who purchases the drugs. I can't begin to imagine the trouble the 'Three Musketeers' can cause.

This is another excellent chapter. I see you have captured the essence of teenage girls. Very believable. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

I've unfortunately had my share of troubles with teenage girls. Some have been resolved and others still loom on the horizon. I think these moments in time are woven throughout my stories.

We wonder why Gabby wants to remain aloof: "Gabby tried to ignore the mention of her name, pretending to be engrossed in studying her biology book. Muffled laughs and awkward taunts filtered throughout the room." I had a similar scenario in my book Tor. This is a great display of emotion: but her new red Converse tennis shoes refused to propel her toward the group. In my scenario a monk was supposed to go to see about getting a penance and his feet felt glued to the floor. Good use of similes, and allusion. Good work.

Hello, Liz...Thanks for stopping by and reading my story and for the kind remarks in your review. I truly appreciate it. Gabby had other things on her mind I think.

Haha. This chapter is all about Grabby who also has a lot of trouble. I can't help to think that the grandmother is your. Nat is your troubled granddaughter. I guess I will find it out.

Well done.

There is a lot of my family woven within the lines of this story unfortunately. They say a writer draws from what they know. Life tends to be a steep rocky road as it will be for these girls as well. Thanks for the review.

It sounds just like teenagers. Is Gabby's family very poor and having problems? It seems that way. But Nat is the real shocker. She is actually selling her grandmother's pills to finance her dress!

Hello, Crol To answer your question Gabby does come from a poor family. Natasha on the other hand is a manipulative teenager who has learned the art of working sympathy when sympathy is not due.
