Wow! I needed a hanky! Your writing got my old hormones going. I sure remember what the first flush of heated love was like. When he was everything to me, and I could never get enough. It was lovely. Now, I am on my own with memories. But, I have some good ones.

Hi MariVal,
I know your notes indicate the inspiration came from the song of Solomon with a blend of Pablo Neruda... but for me it has that tinge of vampire in it that I love.
The eternal love story... feeding off each others devotion, surrendering not until death do us part, rather how death will unite us forever.
I really loved reading this, it had me tingling.
Stunning in every aspect my most talented friend!
With our thoughts we create...
an unbreakable bond.
Warmest regards,
James.

You are right, it has a feeling of a romantic vampire story but it's unintentional. I get my inspiration from a variety of stories, poems, or movies. Whatever is romantic and passionate goes into a place deep inside of me.
I read the Songs of Solomon because Helen recommended it. I was surprised that something so passionate and sexual would be part of the Bible but there you go. I believe passion is part of all human beings from the beginning of time... except cave men were drag women by their hair. LoL
Thank you, James. You know how much I love your reviews... you are so intuitive and insight... sometimes things I am not aware of. Helen does that too. But you are more detailed.

I love the opening stanza. It shows what love should be. Your poem demonstrates how two people are to love each other- to be all the other needs us to be- unquestionable completeness and the purest form of God's agape love.
Be blessed

The Japanese people must be a lusty people, and these poems reveal that, apart from your more than the normal poem, you shape your ability to really give them the oomph they need, beautifully written, blessings Roy

Japanese people are pretty much like the rest of us. Sonnets can be passionate too. Spanish poets are also very passionate.
I think it's something all humanity from the beginning of time share.
Actually, this poem is inspired by Songs of Solomon. Helen asked me to read them.
I understand why you think that. I do write a lot of passionate poems.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read and review my poem.
