Thanks so much for this lovely feedback! :)

I laughed right out loud at this! It fits right into my perverse sense of humor. It is great! The picture is wonderful. I always thought if I had a green house I would have a retracting roof. So when it rained I could let the plants get the rain. and when it was bad weather I could close it. It would not be made of glass! Good writing. Karen

Ut ooooh! It is hard to anticipate and prepare for something unimaginable. This is a well-written contest entry and the situation will probably bring a chuckle to that green-thumbed gardener in several years to come. Right now, however, it is panic time.

Oy! I always wondered about that! Talk about finding out the hard way! Well, hopefully he has good insurance.
Very good surprise ending --a must for good flash fiction! I definitely wasn't expecting it.
Good luck at the polls. xo

Vegetarians or people who like gardens do like glass houses. If they grow flowers, every lady likes to trot through these glass houses, too. It is good for the sun to shine through so you have a sunny day for shopping. Kind of like a sunroof in a car!

This one hit close to home. Our new (plastic) greenhouse was ripped to shreds in its first storm. Then the metal frame was lifted up and landed on my car. All for some fresh tomatoes, haha! Very well written in 50 words, thanks for sharing and thanks for the memories!

Oh no! Disaster! An excellent story that conveys a key message for us all. We can never feel too secure in our lives! Well written in a mere fifty words. Good luck with this.

Thank you! I live near commercial tomato growers for whom this is reality. :)

Oh dear, one would have hoped for much stronger glass, to withstand the effects of a sudden hailstorm. Well chosen image to accompany your poem. Best wishes for your entry.

Thank you, Wendy! I hope, in reality, that they do have tougher glass. :)

Ah the enemy of glass houses, those glass panels are suffering so much damage, and the truth of the matter it's possibly the worst thing of just completing the project and discovering there is a hail storm, beautifully written, blessings Roy

Thanks, Roy! I live near a series of massive glass houses worth millions, so hail is a major issue. :)
