It's never easy coming in part way through a story, so your synopsis was most useful. I like the way you use dialogue to flesh out the characters. Interesting subplots woven into the main plot. I enjoyed the read and thought you handled the difficult first person present tense POV well.

This is a wrinkle I didn't see coming! Michelle, up to now, has seemed quite the leader and in charge. This chapter presents her as having been quite socially awkward. We'll see how that plays out, as being "pushy" may be some method she uses to compensate.

Excellent

This seems to indicate that Michelle has no social skills and she doesn't trust people. She indicates Hayley and Lauren might take Angela money if the knew it was under her bed. I the past, she has seldom been able to keep a friend for long.. Angela is more loyal and apparently still has a cruch in William.

So, we have Angela's birthday coming up and her friends have noticed Angela and William are getting a little closer. We still have no idea about Caz. I enjoyed reading and saw no way to improve this post.
