This poem is a thoughtful and devout reflection on faith, mirroring the acts of adoration and dedication seen in various figures from Christian tradition with the speaker's own spiritual journey. The consistent structure and repetition throughout the stanzas create a meditative rhythm, emphasizing the poem's devotional nature.
Each stanza begins with a different group of beings - angels, wise men, disciples, children, nature, sinners, the grieving, Christians, and all of heaven - and describes how they approach Christ in adoration and for different reasons. This approach effectively highlights the universal and inclusive aspects of faith, showing how different entities, each with their own unique perspectives and needs, turn to the same source for guidance, comfort, and salvation.
The refrain "So do I" or variations of it in each stanza personalizes the poem, connecting the speaker's experiences and actions to those of the figures mentioned. This repetition serves as a powerful statement of faith and commitment, as the speaker aligns themselves with these examples of devotion and seeks to emulate their reverence and dedication.
The poem also touches on various aspects of the Christian experience: adoration, dedication, following without reservation, seeking salvation, finding consolation in grief, discerning God's will, and unceasing praise. This comprehensive approach makes the poem a profound exploration of the many facets of a spiritual journey.
Overall, the poem is a beautifully crafted expression of faith and devotion. Its repetitive structure and clear imagery make it a moving and accessible piece for readers, whether they are deeply religious or simply appreciate the exploration of spiritual themes. The poem's heartfelt and earnest tone invites reflection on one's own beliefs and the nature of spiritual devotion.

Thank you for taking the time to do a thorough analysis of my poem-which explains history of many who have adored Jesus, as do I.

This poem, Adoration of Jesus, follows the slightly changing thrust as the history and importance of Jesus makes its way through another generation. .........

It's a good thought and your repetitive phrases lend strength to the write as well. I never truly worry about how anyone feels about the Lord as I believe full heart that God will show up at the perfect time and perfect place for us all. Take care.

This is a lovely statement of faith and I like that you have explored the relationship between Jesus and so many other groups of followers, each with their own special connection. I liked the rhyming scheme and rhythm you used to convey this message as well.

This is a nice poem. We can all come just as the others have. It's like the carol, " O Come Let Us Adore Him." He welcomes all who come. I like that you've ended every verse with "So do I"

A lovely verse here, Verna, inspired by your strong faith! I like your refrain which gives the verse more weight and immediacy, drawing the reader into your adoration theme. Well done. Debbie

Exceptional poem about
Godand your faith. good rhyme and meter beat.
I can't believe is almost Christmas! I love the imagery in your poem. Good rhyming that doesn't sound forced and flows nicely.

Verna dear, I so enjoyed your beautiful Christmas poem, and your adoration of the Lord and his birth. The birth of Jesus Christ is the true meaning of Christmas. We tend to get caught up in so many other things that we forget the real meaning of this time. Thank you for sharing and beautifully so. Sending my very best for the joy and blessings of the holiday season. Sally XOs
