A lovely catch up episode, Wayne. Great writing as always, updating us on the wonderful pair of characters you have created so successfully. Always a pleasure to read more.

Oh-oh. Now that they are relaxing, that's usually when the plot re-introduces the villain again. Perhaps Larabee will show up if he has vengeance on his mind. It would be nice if Ben and Beth could just settle down and help bring more unity among all the pastors of the town. Hard to imagine such a small place having so many pastors!

When you consider 1-200 per church, it would take a dozen pastors for a small city even if only half attended.
thank you for your very nice review.
And yes, Satan always lurks.

You seem to be preparing us to go to a place we, as readers, don't really want to go. I fear for Beth, but I also see Ben stepping in to protect her (but at what cost?). How many more chapters are left, Wayne?
I've been unable to read all the posts in my inbox this week and that will continue over the next few weeks, I'm afraid. I'll try to follow Ben and Beth to the end though.
Lots of tension in your last chapter here, Wayne.

Actually... 66 more chapters. I know.... But! There are a couple serious twists. I break with the norm. I guess by reviewers reactions I'll know to let it go after chapter 81 (8 more).

I hope I'm wrong, but it seems like you might be building up to something bad happening. Ben doesn't seem to worry much about his own safety and has the confidence that God will protect him and his mission, but with his marriage to Beth, he now has an additional worry, and doesn't seem quite as confident that everything will be alright. This will surely test his faith if something bad were to happen to Beth. You're building up a nice sense of foreboding here. - Jim

Answering the call is not promised to be easy.
I appreciate your review.

Yes, I feel the same way, unless God calls me home, then to do His will should be every believer's bread, this is a classic example of a man's calling in God, it's not so much what we do, but are obedient in doing it, after all, His sheep know His voice, well done, blessings Roy

Thank you.
Most of God's work that a man with a calling such as Ben's goes unaware, un-noticed.

Ben should be concerned about Larabee. What Beth did may have driven him crazier than he already was. It is nice that Ben and Beth can spend time taking what we nowadays call a vacation.

This is another excellent chapter. It is nice to see Been and Beth having some fun.
I do not see any room for improvement. I look forward to the next chapter. Have a blessed day.

Another good edition to your growing tale. Ben must feel like Jonah by now. But some of us are examples.
I try accept and learn from each obstacle put in my way. As should we all. Karen

I'm glad Ben married Beth and she does seem to mind the calling taking been places other than were they might think of settling down. Ben is willing to go wherever God sends him but he is concerned about his wife's safety. I'm enjoying the story.
