I like how the story is now moving forward quite at a steady pace. My only grumbling would be that this chapter was a bit unrealistic. I think Angela would not have gotten off so easily even if William didn't want to press charges. In the work environment, a physical assault with evidence of it is enough for someone to be immediately fired.
I could at least see her being put on an unpaid administrative leave while they do an investigation.
I still overall enjoy the movement of the story. Williams character still fits as someone who would want to paint himself as the good guy and paint Angela as someone who is mentally unstable. Sabotage and gaslighting.
Looking at the next chapter it appears that a leave is what you were intending, it just didnā??t come across that way.
It might be communicated better as Olivia informing her that this is formal disciplinary action and she is being placed on unpaid leave for x amount of time or pending investigation with HR.

This seems to be getting serious. It seems she should have told about their history before William was hired and maybe this wouldn't be happening. Whatever happened in the past much be something she feels with hurt her if she reveals it. I'm looking forward to more.

I think I must have missed a chapter but this is a great read, Jacob, and I'm well in touch with what's going on. I like the way you switch between thoughts and dialogue which can't be easy to get it right. But you manage this seamlessly. In fact, the whole story is very clear and the tension is skilfully executed throughout in this rather stark style of yours. I like it. No faults found and excellently done. Take care Debbie

I am glad your story has moved one a little Jacob and it seems that William has been putting the poison down for Angela and made her feel uneasy and she is having to take time off. Angela needs to speak with Kristy. Angela is in a really bad place right now and not trusting anyone. We still don't know exactly what has caused all of this. What happened between Angels and William. She also needs to talk with Paul. I like this story and can't wait for more.
