Comics Technology like all else has followed the readers into the internet to see them. I find that stuff there reflects the time taken to assemble it. I guess I'm an old fudd.

When I was a kid, I couldn't wait for Dad to bring home the paper each night when all I was interested in was the comic strips. I read most of them. Now I enjoy political cartoons more as long as they fit my own political agenda. I'm enjoying your series on comics. They bring back memories.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Comics may transform, as do most things with the advent of technology, but they are by no means on their way out.
One catch:

I'm enjoying your series.

Nice topic and good research. I used to enjoy the funny pages as a kid. We got to see the world play out in some of the better strips. I graduated to comic books and Mad Magazine. Thanks for the reminder.

Hello Brett,
I love comic book art. I so wish I had all the comics I had bought when I was a paperboy years ago. I was especially enamored with Metal Men. I can't recall who put that out. I don't think it was Marvel or DC, but I could be wrong. Marvel had a different kind of art than DC. I preferred the DC art. Sgt. Rock and Easy company was another favorite. I think I mentioned I have some stamps that portray the various comics from the past. They are great. Thanks for sharing.
Have a blessed day.

This is a nice broadening of the purpose and readership for comics. It's like cartoons on tv. Some are stunned when the see the majority of characters aare adults & the subject matter would be boring to young readers. Unless they are Cody. lol

Yes, they provide an interesting and often satircal snippet of the social fabric of the times they were set in. Makes sense that the young find the internet equivalent. Well documented and quite an original theme of research and writing. Well done.

Camel comics? What kind of fun do they do? Baby Blues is my favorite, especially when it appeared with baby Zoe and I had just taken custody of a Zoe and her three older siblings. This is an interesting article but too short. I am enjoying these articles about humor and art mixed.

Comic were a big part of many of our lives growing up, and for those like me, they still have a big part to do with how I reflect to certain things after all these years. Thanks for sharing.
