Nice poem, I enjoyed it. However, (just my opinion) I thought the last line did not flow well. perhaps try:
"pointing to the wedding band, and the affection it displays. Just a thought. I liked your poem and all it conveys.

You have a point Karen, I'm not sure the wedding band conveys affection, but the vows taken. In this instance tolerance and affection builds. I married late in life and still have a lot to learn.

A beautiful depiction of devotion in love. That wedding band should close all doors to betrayal and departure and open all doors to tolerance and devotion.
