Great rhyme and entry for this competition. Ever since I remarked entrants were using illustrations at the top, I've been running into poems like yours, with wonderful photos. Anyhow, a magnificent, poetic capture of promise and calm following the storm.

This is a lovely poem about rainbows and what they mean. The rhyming is generally good but I am a bit confused about the crops' tear stains bit and the first line of the second stanza should be rainbows promise or rainbow promises rather than what you have written. Having said that I do like this poem so good luck in the competition

crops' tearstain are the raindrops that have fallen on a farmer's crops as indicated by the picture.
