Cute. I don't have animals I am allergic. But I wish I could. You write with real feelings for your subject.
This would make a good children's tale. I was thinking that Lola could be in a story about completely sleeping through a catastrophe, Just a thought. read "Murphy's Law and other stuff. Karen

I like that idea with Lola sleeping through a catastrophic event.
I will check it out.

Very fun, not enough food is a huge concern for dogs. I think they would eat non stop if you let them. I'm very glad Darcy voted to let the dogs live with you.

So far, each of the "Animal Crackers" entries I've read has been a winner! Thank you also for sharing that photo of Darcy. If you say the dogs can talk and call a meeting, I won't doubt you. As a child, in a family of five, I taught s parakeet to speak and he would greet everyone in the family by name when they entered the kitchen.

Hi John,
you write this content so well my Brother. It takes me back to all of your others stories where you bring a clever fury-human to life with such entertaining dialogue... this is an exciting niche for you to expand on.
Smiled and chuckled nearly all the way through the read. And like always from my experience, you have that positive message, the great moral that is such a magic touch, not only for us oldies, but also the younger audience and I would suspect, some of our fury-humans could heed the tale as well.
Great read John, well done, totally enjoyed it!
With our thoughts we create...
many tales.
Kind regards,
James.

My pleasure to reward creative with this meagre gesture John.
Unfortunately, all Jade's looking after me, making sure I don't hurt myself has caught up to her... but that's a long story... so not a very happy wife at present, but my life, I'm blessed. In my soul I'm happy!
Thank you my Brother... love and kind regards to you and your loved ones.
You be well!
James.

This is a really cute story. I'm amazed at all the animals on fanstory that have learned to talk. The cats are especially vocal. Many of them can type and write their own stories. That comes in handy with the human people have other things to do.

Hooray for Darcy being so generous to accept two more sibling dogs (cousins?) to join her household. Yay! Enjoyed your dialogue and how fun you made Darcy's interpretation of human speech!

Thank you, Helen. I tried to write Darcy as I see her personality. She?s such a good dog.

Funny and sweet, and hear, hear, in the human house there is democracy for puppies. I like your story it brought me some memories about my adopted cats. Sorry Darcy, I am cat mom:) Thank you for sharing and good luck with the writings.

This is setting the mood of humor: "She's asleep you little rug monster," I interjected. "What's this meeting about? And make it snappy, puppy, I need to finish mowing the lawn." Now the reader is wondering what the meeting is about. This could actually be a metaphor.

This was certainly entertaining, John. I adored the dog on the bed with all of the stuffed animals. This was definitely entertaining calling a meeting, only Darcy could do that. Poor Lola, she was snockered, she was wasted. This was very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessings n Peace!!!
