Hooray for Tony! I'm glad that he learned from Ben's habit of prayer and that God gave him that vision. What a diligent boy - even fasting! I hope Angelo knows what to do. Scary stuff! Poor Ben. I guess he couldn't just lock eyes with Diamond Jim this time.

Thank you. Nope. Ben can only do as the Holy Spirit guides.

It is amazing that Tony can dream true with God's help. Diamond Jim seems to actually be afraid to hear Ben speak. Too bad he is doing so much to keep him from speaking, but God will find a way.

Thank you for your very nice review.

Whoa, your description of Ben's battery was intense. Any one of those individual beatings would have been enough for most men. It's good that Tony's "sensitivities" were on the alert and that Anglelo was tuned into a higher level of understanding. I can't wait for the next chapter.

Thank you. That means a lot.
(And some thought, 'How nice. Ben took care of Chicago and now gets to go to San Francisco.')

It looks like he'll welcome San Francisco, even with the earthquake as a vacation!

Excellent description here, and good pacing. kay
You have a couple of tense problems:
After slammed into a chair > After being slammed into a chair
a rag jammed in > and a rag was jammed in

Thanks to Tony and Angelo help is on the way.
"Take off his hood and gag him!" The man descending the stairwell was Diamond Jim. "I don't want him callin' God in on this."
Ben couldn't help but grin at the idiocy."
You'd think Diamond Jim was smarter than that. Ben doesn't have to call God. This is going to be interesting. LOL Well done Wayne. Nancy:)

Thank you! What a great review. And bless you for the six stars!

It is painful to read what these guys are doing to Ben. I hope some kind of rescue will come around as the result of Tony's dream. I'm anxious to read more and hope Ben doesn't suffer more blows.

Life couldn't be a bowl of cherries for Ben. (smiley face here)
Thank you for your very nice review.

That was hard to read, about Ben being punched and beaten. Thankfully Tony and Angelo will be used by God to come to his aid - somehow. Well written, very gripping and compelling. Wendy
Typo: you might have noticed - I'm not Mushmoth (Mushmouth)

Good morning, Wayne. Apologies for my last review, which was far too verbose. Won't happen again.
A really action packed story, with enough violence to merit a warning for the faint-hearted. (Having come in to this half way through I realize I don't know the background, but your notes are helpful.) Ben is now in danger of losing his life: taken off the train at gunpoint he is battered unconscious by Diamond Jim's henchmen.
Really authentic writing on the subsequent interrogation and torture - the violence is vividly described without becoming over-sadistic. The characters are real - easy to make gangsters into cliches - that doesn't quite happen.
Then the surprise of 'scene 2' - which is well done; the switch to Angelo and the sympathetic Tony, lifts the mood, which had been really dark, to give us some hope that Ben might survive after all. The dialogue between Tony and Angelo is natural and, again, authentic - just as it was with the crooks. But the crooks have the edge here, because within their banter is a golden vein of humor. That's the part I enjoyed most.
Thanks, Wayne.

You are never too verbose. Please let it flow. All your comments are helpful. I'll put the violence warning label on.
Thank you for your great review.

I think God has given Tony a dream and he's seen in the dream that Ben has been beaten up and is in a cellar, perhaps with Angelo in tow.will find him, and bring some sort of justice, I like the silly comment about gagging Ben so he won't be able to know what's going on. Beautifully written Wayne, blessings Roy
