Sorry to have missed so many chapters, Forest. This one is great and I'm so pleased to read you married Mary and loved her little girl too. You're honeymoon accomodations made me laugh out loud. I'm sure it's improved.
God's blessings to you and your beautiful family.

"A Wedding to Remember" tells of a most memorable day in life filled with precious time together. The wedding appeared beautifully decorated at that special church. This wedding day was well told!

I'm happy to read the marriage took place and worked out. The honeymoon wasn't perfect, but is there ever a really perfect honeymoon? I can't wait to read more about your new life together and your ministry.

Thanks so much Barbara. Means much coming from an exceptional writer as yourself.

Well, and still after all that you are still married...and happily is what I presumed...
Oh I just placed over at the Authors notes and I see that yes indeed you are married.
Five children...wow...well, that first night did not spoil anything....

A very cute chapter, Tom. I love your sense of humor about your honeymoon arrangements. I'm sure it was challenging!
I am so sorry your mother wasn't there. That's a time mothers should treasure. Sorry you didn't get pictures, but at least you got each other! It was a long journey for true love!
Take care,
Rhonda

We all love those very happy endings. I didn't find anything major to improve on. What a relief and blessing Mary made it health-wise through the ceremony.
I think you could add two quotation marks in the middle of this:
"For as long as we both shall live, instead of until death do we part."
I would say:
"For as long as we both shall live," instead of "until death do we part."
Coming from an LDS background, we use 'for time and all eternity' in the temples.

I travelled all over the north east doing hundreds of LDS building cleans including sacred sites in Sharon and Palmyra for many years. Although I'm not Mormon, I've fostered a close friendship with John Rutkowski who manages all the sacred sites. Appreciate any and all help with editing. Blessings between bookends!

That definitely explains why I keep associating you with how you resemble a male second cousin and a male friend who are very LDS, ha ha.

Neat.

Now that would be a bummer for both. You and the bride and her parents. I have performed several weddings and I think you and Mary did well despite the encounters. The old saying is true. Harder the start, the better the ending. Well done. Bro.

Thanks brother...We didn't mind so much, because we knew we had plenty of privacy around the corner. I still have some wonderful God moments I hope to share with my partners in writing. Mary was doped up on anti-seizure medicine doing more harm than good when God gave me the intuition on what was wrong. Sometimes miracles happen in little moments. Blessings ahead...

But you got married and your love was evident to all - that's what makes it beautiful! I'm glad everything went well despite all the fears. Yes, it is probably unusual to be at your in-laws on your wedding night but if you go back far enough in time, that wasn't so unusual. And I know one couple where the groom's mother slept between the couple on the wedding night. I think that's much worse that your situation. At least, your bride's family loved you!

So right about culture history back in the day. It's hard to imagine how way back when, a family wouldn't mind giving their daughter away when she was fourteen or fifteen! I wrote a western/historical called Child Bride. That family took me in unconditionaly and so it didn't really bother us. We had our whole life ahead of us. Blessings...

So glad that God brought you together!

It is wonderful that you got through the wedding vows and no one passed out. The church looks like a lovely place for a wedding. I'm sure the being at your inlaws with a blanket over the door wasn't the honeymoon you'd dreamed of but you would have plenty of time alone later.

Exactly. I was bothered by it that much, because they took me in and gave me the family I never really had, and I knew we had our whole life ahead of us. Blessings ahead...

Well finally, the nuptials have occurred and the honeymoon is in the in laws home. We have something in common, we lived in our in-laws home until we were able to purchase our own home, this is a great progression of marrying, albeit delayed, girl of your dreams, well done, blessings Roy
Typo : after we tied the (notch) knot? 2: your in-laws (in) the next room.
