I enjoyed reading about your trials as a mum. You certainly had your hands full. Connie was lucky to survive her childhood, and you keeping your wits about you.
It is an entertaining and well-written story.
Best wishes,
Mary

Thank you Mary, I'm glad you liked my story. Yes my last child had sort of dangerous beginning.

I really enjoy reading about the exploits of your children. I can't believe Christi stuck pins in the baby! Or that Don gave her a dangerous joy ride. Sounds as if Michelle could be a psychopath. Did you report her behavior to the mother?

Beth,
Your story of the adventures of raising children is sweet; I have several nieces and nephews, so I know children can be trying sometimes. But, I'm told, it is very worth it.
I like the photo of Connie.
This is an easy read. I like this story a lot.
Good luck, Beth

In Paragraph 2, "baby sitting" should be babysitting.
Sometimes children do think they are being replaced by a new baby.
Should "crescent city" not be capitolized if you are specifically using it as the town's nickname?

Again, you left me wanting much more! Consistent, wonderful entry in your series. And I thought it was difficult rising one child! I'm so thankful your daughter survived and that you used your words to tell us about it!

You didn't have a picnic as a mum, I know they are different, we had it very lucky with ours, even in their marriages it has worked out for them. I've read the previous stories, so it didn't seem to get any easier. Beautifully written Beth, blessings Roy

Thank you again, Dolly. Connie didn't seem to notice that she was she was in any danger. It was a game to her. I sure Christi didn't stick with pins after she was big enough to tell on her. She liked playing her brother.

Goodness me, it's a wonder Connie survived her young childhood! Lol. I remember it being very much like my siblings. I was fine, being the eldest, then my brother arrived three years later. Fine. The 7 years later, my sister arrived, my brother hated her, he was so jealous. 5 years after that, my youngest brother arrived, and both my sister and brother we so jealous of him, it was terrible. The last one, Ian, is, and always has been my favourite. He never says or does anything against anyone else. Now I wait to read what you daughter Connie's teenage years were like. They are always the worst for some reason or another. Not so with the boys. I enjoyed reading this, Beth, I'm glad I stuck to two children. They are still each others best friend. 50 years on! Wonderful memories, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Thank you Sandra. Three of my children are great friends. Christi the jealous twin has love/hate relationship with the other three. I'm sad about that.

I love it when families match and rhyme names like this; my brother was Dennis, Dianne (wife), Dion (son), and Dena (daughter). We used to call them the "4 Ds".
Beth's latest adventure: being hoisted onto her husband's shoulders so that she could crawl through a window of her house, lol!
So much of this is so concerning to me. It sounds like Connie had it pretty rough in the early years; I'm anxious to see if things improved between her and her siblings.
You certainly are brave in being so open about your life. I have posted a few things that made me nervous, wondering if I was saying too much. But writers write.
Thank you for sharing, Beth.

Thank you Pam, My kids will let me get away with writing about them but I do get a little anxious about writing about extended family and when it comes those I worked with, I change their names. I'm probably too open, but I can't help but write the truth.

Wow! She was lucky to have survived her siblings. LOL
That is a darling picture, but I assume it is not Connie
or you would have mentioned it. "Those years were a breeze compared with what we would face later as she approached her teens." I hear that! Well done Beth. Nancy:)

Thank you Nancy, I really appreciate the review. The picture wasn't Connie. I think she was cuter than that at that age after she outgrew the sumo wrestler stage, but we had fire which destroyed most of her early pictures. She was lucky to survive the early years with out being permanently scared.
