Wow, this is so sad and heart-breaking and I have felt pain like this at times in my life. This tale of betrayal is well composed and I enjoyed your touching words, love Dolly x x x

Beautifully sad, we do grieve when we lose a love, they say time heals but rejection can be very difficult during that time, very well written and presented****kahpot

Hi MariVal,
I had to wait to review this stunning free verse... there was no way I would come a knockin' without a star-studded supply.
I'm a real fan of your free verses... and I know you are the undisputed Queen of short form... but, the free verses expand into a scene where mind's eye can absorb the meaning and intent within a story.
There is so much sadness, desperation and pain within a collective of a confused and hurting-lost soul.
Who could be as low to email someone they supposedly loved, or had loved a 'dear Jane' letter... and more so digging the knife in with the confession of a meeting someone else who made a 'better fit'.
Whilst I don't like the thought of all the pain and heartache... poems that are composed with these elements are for me, so impacting... they reach right into one's soul and tug at every heart string. Yes, something that a lot of us at one point or another have felt and experienced in so-called love.
The all-over hurt that not only aches through one's entirety and leaves a hole in the pit of a stomach that has no end... but the loss part of one's self when two becomes one. It's then the mind-fields of lost love explode into a confusion that clouds the senses... I guess it's our grieving period of misery and self doubt?
This is free verse poem is so exceptionally emotionally charged, I felt every cut!
I could say... hey Gypsy(((((((( I loved this verse, this line, this section of the poem... but no, everything slotted into a picture of heartache and pain... every word, every line, every verse, until the story concluded... and yet it didn't... because your last line says it all. The ones who love the hardest, fall the hardest, with all there love and being, always feel the echo of the flame in their heart.
Stunning Renia Lobo Gitana!
With our thoughts we create...
self-worth loving.
Warmest regards,
James.

Hello, James,
Thank you for the exceptional six stars review.
Have I mentioned I love your reviews? :) once or twice. You give such detailed and insightful feedback that I feel completely heard. One day I will tell you the details behind the poem.
If I need more room to express what I feel, free verse is my go to poem. It does take me longer to write and edit but it came out alright and people relate and connect at a deep level.
Okay, it's dinner time. Big big hugs, James.
Besitos y abrazos
Marival ❤️

This free verse, Amidst Burning Stars, touches on the sensitive issue of being Dear Gypsyed while still holding on to the memories that do not seem to lead to this result.

What a sad free verse, Gypsy. This was so sad that they were words of devastation, who would have thought that this was possible. It was almost great that showed through. The sense that this was such a sad free verse that it became well done. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

Ending a relationship through and email is an example of a weakling. If he isn't man enough to face the person he's leaving, then he's really not man enough to be a loving relationship. This once again is a complete package. The words you chose were perfect for evoking the emotion.

Hi MariVal,
This is a sad poem. The man is a coward to break up in an email. She remembers a strong love that somehow changed on his part but not hers.
Though it would be best to try to move on.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a great rest of the day.

Amazing isn't it the sheer power of words to convey our most profound emotions - amply illustrated here with a poem full of words so precisely chosen
