if they came back, they're yours
if they don't, it was never meant to be. . .
couldn't help but have that floating through my head as read this poem
one suggestion i can make, if i may, is maybe to play with the line and stanza breaks a bit?
just an observational thought...

Really cool poem! I relate deeply with it. It's very creative and interesting imagery. I like the background color too maybe try adding a picture! Just a thought.
