This is an interesting chapter as JD discovers what Frankie's problem is, besides his mouth. Obviously, he cares for the kid. I have a few questions. What does the sentence "JD gave time." mean? What is the time period of this? Frankie accuses JD of being a fascists. Was that word used before the 1930's? I thought the story was in the late 1800's.

Thank you for the review.
JD gave Frankie time to think.
You are right. Thank you. I changed it to 'dictator'.

Well, this is one of those stories that I can relate to more than I'm willing to admit, and it reminds me of characters I've known in real life. I can't imagine what damage there might be, but I can hardly wait to find out. Thanks for sharing.

This is an excellent chapter. You moved the story along nicely. Interesting bit about fighting Frankie needing glasses. I do not see any need for improvement. Have a blessed day.

What a good man that sheriff is! We need a guy like that today to mentor our youth. So many are either neglected or misunderstood at home or just not willing to adapt to their own family's rules.

Okay, I read your story, Then studied your characters and then read the story again after I knew more about everyone. Good job! This is a good morning to go back and catch up. I only had 3 messages and one of them was a thank you, for a six. Where is everyone? Well done Wayne. Love Westerns. I love spiritual stories too! Nancy:)

Thank you!
I debated pulling this book out since interest had waned. Glad i didn't. Maybe spring break had/has people tied up.
Thank you immensely for the six stars!

I don't know what is going on but I believe the clubs and the short pems have made many of the people lose interest. Too many 2 centers being posted. A waste of time. This used to be a writing site not a game show. IMHO. I am trying to stay the course. I am aboard and very interested in your book. Write on! Nancy:)

I was expecting the story to continue to follow Ben after he left the sheriff. I was surprised to fine the story continuing to follow J.D. who seemed to be acting on instinct himself. J.D is an interesting character as is Frankie, who he apparently sees something worth salvaging in this kid who is always in trouble. The sheriff seems sure that Ben will return. I'll be waiting to see where this leads.

I had to cut the chapter in half to make it FanStory acceptable. (personal choice - I don't like to review 2-3000 word posts)
Ben is in part B (and throughout the book)
Thank you for your review.

Interesting range of characters and good use of conversation which fills in the background of Frankie. The social background is also interesting for readers who know little of US history- like me!

Excellent chapter. Between the sheriff and Ben there is hope for Frankie. Makes ons wonder how common it might be that something like that had set a young man on an irreversible wrong course. Well written.
