This was an interesting commentary on how short life is, and what we leave behind. I think the lines, "The Dominican Academy/ All her money was donated" read a bit awkwardly. Maybe you could add a word, like "To the Dominican Academy/ All her money was donated." Other than that, it flowed nicely. The rhyme/ slant rhyme is steady. I appreciate the author's note giving more context. You've told an interesting story here, and I liked it.

A fine write and I'm not sure if this is a true story Judith but this girl saved all her money and lived frugally, and her money went to a good cause, love Dolly x

    It is based on a true story i read about a single woman who worked for the New York Stock Exchange and was single all her life.

    I cant remember for sure the details so i made up the part about the Barbizon hotel. I read this article about her in the paper and I was just fascinated.

    It emphasized how she led this very quiet simply life very unassuming person. I think what she did was just amazing.
