This is a very sweet poem. The text is a great size and that's important with such a curly font. The message is heartfelt and clearly stated. If only all children received such loving care. As a retired educator, I have seen so many damaged children over the years.
At the beginning of the third verse the "l" is missing out of blessed.
The visual is cute and fits the text perfectly. Thanks for sharing.

Oh my heavens, I didn't plan on doing any reviewing right now, but I needed to check the front page this morning, and what do I see? The most adorable picture of babies!!! I confess, your choice of artwork drew me in, Debi, but I am so glad it did -- what a charming poem!

This is a beautiful and heartfelt piece of poetic art. My wife and I were just talking earlier today about or late daughter, she was our eldest. We miss her so much, her baby boy will be 24 years old on February 17. She would be so proud. He was only nine years old when she died.

I enjoyed reading this but did sense a bit of tention in the rhymes as I finished it. It's nice, I just felt you jumped from subject to subject in some of the lines. Beautiful subject!

Loved this journey through the lives of your children and you delivered it so beautifully. I do however offer one minor suggestion. In the last line, I'd change 'further grow,' to 'bloom and grow.'
A truly delightful read.

Hi Bob, I absolutely love feedback and I appreciate your suggestion.
I made the change and I love how it sounds like it's referring to both the flower. and the child. Thank you for your kind review and comments.
And a very big thank you for your gracious gift of the six stars.

Great poem with a great rhyming pattern. It is so true that a baby does bless us. I loved how you used the comparison of a flower and a child. This was nicely done. The flow of your words were perfect, and made this a really enjoyable read. I loved your last stanza how a flower and a child are gifts from God, because I believe this to be true. What a wonderful poem, and glad that you shared it. Well done.

I am so not happy that this beautiful poem didn't come into my PM box. I have no clue why. Yes, both a child and a flower are a gift from God, and both need to be nurtured and cared for. Thank you for sharing.

You did a great job with your poem, Debi. The precious image
set the tone well. Of course, the rhymes and smooth flow added
to the enjoyment. I liked how you compared how a flower grows
from a seed with great care just like a baby does with similar care.
Yes, they both need air, food, and water. But babies need even
more--love which you included. Both are gifts from God as you
stated. The last line about those little babies that don't get a
chance to live was heartbreaking. Your poem was written with
words straight from your heart. Your poem was memorable.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Oh my dearest Jan thank you so much for the lovely review and words for my poem. You are always so in sync with what's going on. Whether you are reading or writing. And for that, you are one of my favorite reviewers and authors. I appreciate you so much and I thank you once again for being there for me. I think you wholeheartedly for the lovely six stars that you shine from your galaxy to mine. ha ha.

You do write a lot of poetry. (You're the Stephen King of poetry.) I was attracted to read your poem because of the title, "The Cycle of a Child and a Flower." I had a cycle as a child, but I see you are talking about a different cycle. It is a nice metaphor throughout the poem.
With the font you chose, the "We'll mostly have our children," was difficult for me at first because I can barely see the apostrophe in we'll.

TDL, I know that you are so right and was tempted to just change the font on just that word only, and still might. The rest just seems to go with this poem of flowers and children, don't you think? Thank you so much for your always lovely reviews and comments. I appreciate you so very much, my dear friend.
-
I did change the font for just that one word, so if you could look, your opinion means the world to me. I wish I could have changed it all, but it just went so well with the poem. Do you think it is obvious that it is a different font?
-
I agree that the font goes beautifully with the poem. And, yes, I can see the apostrophe now.

'Thank you so much my sweet friend!
