Congratulations on this winning verse which moves across the page like an artist's brush. Beautifully descriptive of springtime in all her finery. Best wishes.

Congratulations on your win. It was certainly a well-deserved win.
A charming and delightful poem.
While I will be in the deep freeze for a while, this truly fires up my imagination and thoughts of Spring.
Well done, and congratulations again.
Best wishes,
Mary

Thank you, Mary, for the five-star review. It is much appreciated. I had not read the messages yet, so my winning is a surprise to me. You have blessed me with the new. Thank you.

It has me yearning for those days when what you write becomes Spring again. I wish this could have been a rhyming piece ... for the serenity I suspect it would be. Who knows? Still, it's a nice write. Tom

I read your poem at least three times, it was wonderful. I liked this line :
Flowers peeking from their hiding places
Lifting up their heads
Winter is just starting here in NJ but I'm looking forward also to:
the new green lawn blanketing the earth
Daffodils puffery whisper
I wish I had a six star left to offer!
Cheers. John
