You must have a very lucky cat for many a man/husband/significant other would have shot, stuffed and mounted such a cat above the door as a warning to other pussies that think of entering in said household ... unless the tree has been removed. :-O

    If I had a cat that would destroy a Christmas tree and the gifts beneath, I would not give it a second chance the next year but stuff it like a trophy deer. jk. I don't have a gun, but the point is it wouldn't have a chance to do it again.
