Though you don't mention God, I'm assuming that's who you're referring to as having shown you the way. And, if that is a picture of you and your father, you can clearly see the love for you in his expression.
I can understand that this was a hard piece to write, but apparently you did a good job, as you won All Time Best. Congratulations.

This is a lovely tribute to your father. I hope you have shared it with him. The text is a good side. The message is clearly stated and easily understood. The text takes the reader through the misunderstandings, your rebellious nation and growing pains. I am glad you were lucky enough to come out on the other side and heal. My child was also rebellious and was dead by 22 years of age. This poem touched me for that exact reason. I could imagine her if she could do it over again saying what you said in this poem. The visual fits perfectly.

Hello, Belinda, you could had written this poem about me. I loved my dad but there were things he did that made me angry. Recently I thought about him and all the good things we shared and it made me cry. He died in 2006 but I carry his memories in my heart. Well done! Happy new year!

Thank you so much. This poem was inspired by my dad?s death and our journey together. He died on thanksgiving day.
