This is an interesting and enjoyable poem to read. It speaks a lot of truth, and plus it rhymes very well. A person's philosophy of life is so very important, especially if it's positive and I believe yours is. Keep writing and I'll keep reading. Best wishes.

I like the central image comparing writing to food (specially as it's lunch time here in Paris where I'm writing!) Poetry and great Literature feed the soul. Maybe that didn't always comfort starving poets in lonely garrets?

Well done. Such interesting twists in the rhyming schemes used in each quatrain. Had to pay attention and not fall asleep at the wheel. Then the final quatrain that abandons rhyme but picks up the opening lines. Very creative.

I have difficulty writing poetry. My mastery with words has limits. What you did here to me is incredible using the first line of each stanza to compose the last.
