I enjoyed this! Did you get dinged for going over a stanza? (The directions indicate "it needs to be three to five stanzas"--and alas, you treated us to a sixth!
I love that you were there exciting the kids about writing!
You have some very creative rhymes here...
and a nice progressive flow to the poem...
Did they all write their own, after?
Who knows what enduring spark you've set aflame!

No zing. I loved having facetime with student in the Creative Writing classroom twice a year for a teacher who adopted my work as, well ... creative.

I like the way you show life in a classroom. I guess that is what it is. It does no good to regret the past because what is done is done and over. I love the photo of your daughter. I wish you tons of luck in the contest.
