Looks like I missed out on a lot of joyful events reading your poem.
Children are a mystery to me , I have never been acquainted to one , never held a tiny hand or heard one laugh. I read that babies have a lovely scent.
I never like voicing my feelings so saying
I love you was never my thing ( not even to my parents)
Also smiling is not my thing.
On the other hand I love flowers full of dew drops. I get a kick licking raindrops from leaves just after a downfall. ( biggrin) .
My parents when I was growing would ring me occasionally, I remember I was always excited. ( they ran their own travel business and were touring 10 months a year abroad , also in the 70s and 80s there were no mobiles yet so making an international or an overseas call was more complicated).
I like a beautiful hair style Growing up , I ve always wanted to dye my hair different colours but folks then would have taken me for a nutcase
now it's seen as expressing one s self ect.

There is no doubt about it, the best things in life are indeed free. Money can buy a lot of nice things, but the best ones are the facial expressions and gratitude you can receive when doing something for nothing for anyone else.

A good rhyming poem. The topic is relatable as well as the text. The rhyme scheme is consistent throughout. The font is a nice size but would perhaps look better in gold. If you made the background gold the large visual would fit smoother, and the text could be a bold black. The poem is good, but the presentation could be a bit better. Good luck in the contest.
