Ciao!
I remember seeing on our national Tv a documentary ( a few months after the George Floyd incident) and the interviewer went and visited several American families that had literally arsenals at home. An entire room filled with all sorts of gun, rifles etc
As if they were Rambo.
It should be against the law to own more than one gun per person for self defence.
They were also proud that their young teens ( male and female) were learning to shoot.
The last interaction is tragic and scary.
Keep safe!

This is crazy, but indeed the reality. I won't be surprised if within the upcoming years the gun laws will include babies being entitled to own a gun as well. Also on a side note, Queeny is the name of one of my university's lecturer, its Queenela but her friends calls her Queeny for short. Keep up the good work.

Hahaha. Bill (and I love how your last time ties in so well here...), I love your tongue-in-cheek presentation here and the way you've boldly gone where so few are willing to these days! Controversy, it seems, has become a four-letter-word. Provocative, interesting, savvy, and VERY well done. I really enjoyed this read.

Bill,
Ouch. That is a pretty sharp and pig-headed stance. hahahaha I like it. It certainly was not what I was expecting. The picture is killer. For real.
I am certain it is NOT politically correct - which makes me like it even more. hahahaha! Thanks!

God, guns, and guts made America free.

As always your dialogues are great, Bill. But this is such a touchy subject and the pro-NRA folks will all agree with Ace. But I'm hoping you're being completely satirical - it's just this world is too crazy to understand good satire. Best wishes in the contest!

Thanks, Helen. I tried not to lean too far either way.

This is satire at its best, Bill. Giving a baby a gun for sucking and teething and plastic bullets. I can visualize a two-year-old trying to fit ammunition into the chambers kind of like the mailbox toy with plastic holes designed for different shapes.
Nice to include the lesson about being taught to shoot once the person understands the power he holds in his hand.

This is certainly timely subject matter. The use of extremes, as you did here, is very useful in highlighting a problem. It makes us see how the desire of people to have guns is pretty silly when the idea of a baby having guns is mentioned. I like the insistence on "he or she." Best of luck in the contest. judi

Because there are federal and state laws, the national government allows states to set their own laws for firearms.

I know this is satire, Bill, and you did a great job.
However, I didn't get the expected laugh because
it isn't a funny subject. I did read a few days ago
a 2 year old found a gun, I believe in mom's purse,
and fired it somehow, killing his dad.
Best wishes in the contest, Jan

The purpose of satire is to present issues that are settled in some people's minds as correct, as being laughable that way and in need of reconsideration.
-
No worries. You did a great job.

And they talk about the wild, wild west. The wild west that had nothing on us. Shoot'em ups on street corners of every major city, most every night. It's too late to teach teenagers regard for human life. Thanks for sharing.

Respect, when it comes to guns, is totally in the self-image of the gun holder. Small people become big with a gun. No one ever aims guns at Hitlers or Putins, just Shirley Temples and Mr. Rogers'.

I couldn't agree more. I remember a guy pulling a gun on me outside a bar when I was young. I literally put my finger in the barrel and slapped the piss out of him with my other hand, obviously drunk and showing off for friends. He could have killed me, I thought later - a nervous wreck for two weeks. LOL.
