This is an excellant lesson for children. Your poetry is easy to read, easy to understand and easy to remember the lesson. What more could you ask from a children's poem?

What a lovely poem and message for children presented with mountains as the subject. Original and perfect meter. This should be in a picture book. Congratulations on your win!

Loved your little story with a moral to teach the children about contentment for all that one has in life. Your poetic meter was perfect and enjoyable to read aloud. Congratulations on the win!!

That is a very wise "old" mountain. He gives sound advice. It looks like the little mountain will take it to heart. One day he will grow. In the meantime, he has the children.
Nicely done.

Thank you very much for an excellent review!

I really enjoyed this one, the rhyme and rhythm bounced along, which children like, and it also has a moral about being satisfied with what you have. That everyone is different and we all have something others admire. Excellent, and good luck in the contest. :) Sandra xx

Dear Mystery Writer,
This was really, really sweet and cute! It had a very good message but it's presented in a clever way that I don't think kids would find as preachy or demeaning. (I saw a poem earlier that had a fab message but it was coming down far too heavy-handed.) This is deft and soft and with just the right amount of gravity. Nice job!
I do wish that each line was a bit more smooth. There were just a few (a VERY few) lines here that read with a bit of bumpiness. If you could work those out, I feel you'd either have a straight-out winner or one very close to the top. Thanks a lot and good luck!

This is absolutely wonderful, the best children's poem I have read in quite a while. It has everything in the content. Pathos, happiness and last but not least, a moral.
