One of the rules was no profanity:
Moja s spirit descends as a dove , his words and pooping / baptising for lots would be considered as such , but I personally thought it was hilarious.
You penned a great story partly fact , partly fiction. The killing of Harambe was tragic. Gorillas are highly intelligent, after examining the kid , he knew he was not a threat. His strength and because he was dragging the kid .. had he decided to dragged the kid out of the water , he could have knocked his head on the hard lim of the water enclosure , or on the ground.
Some people should not be parents , they were not at home but visiting a zoo they should have keep their kid in check.
Their negligence cost Harsmbe's life..
Going back to your entry, I found it creative, witty and even outrageous at times but your unique style works for me .
I enjoyed all the links including the one about UFO destroying Russian tanks and God being on Ukraine s side etc.

Thanks so much Tempeste! I am sure my entry seriously offended some people for being sacrilegious, even though "poop" or "crap" isn't considered profanity in American English. "Shit" is considered mild profanity though.
Yeah the mother took a lot of... crap... for letting her kid escape and get into the exhibit. That kid will have quite a story to tell when he gets older.

I think your input has been a blessing to this site...you injected a well needed dose of creativity and originality in regards to the contest page.
The committee says: creative approaches are welcomed and then it slams and makes a fuss over someone that has brought life and colour to this often boring and monotonous site.
Please DON'T SAY you are leaving ????

It is pretty bad anytime I even talk about it, my posts are deleted. That's how much of a threat a dead gorilla is to them, apparently. I am, at least, going to be taking a temporary hiatus from posting and contests to publicly draw attention to the repression. I need to channel some of my energy into other areas. But, I may be doing a bit more reviewing, provided I don?t get kicked off here for being me. At least I have backed up all my work. No one has to buy the eternal flame package to do that, lol. I will tell you more details in a bit!

That is correct although I don't know for certain who complained about my contests... though it is pretty easy for anyone to guess. Naming that person here will likely get this conversation deleted or get me banned even though it is public knowledge.

Hey thanks Barbara! I'm alright, just very annoyed at the censorship on here, and have been dialing down my presence and focusing on other things. Your passive to active change might be the technically correct version, but I think colloquially the reader might read it as past tense! "Munching" sounds a bit more natural to me. "Was being munched" would be passive. Do you agree? -H

Hello Harambe. What a distressing thing to shoot that gorilla, albeit the perhaps necessary protection of a human life. Anyway, with regards to your excellent story: I feel it must be part of some larger account in which gorillas are further established as exemplars of functional and probably high-minded being. Is it in the more direct mode of their decision making that gorillas are more admirable than humans? I suspect that traits which are more fully elaborated in us are nonetheless present in "lesser" species; I've seen ambivalence and uncertainty in our wonderful dog, and have even suspected its presence in our two cats. Anyway, I think that a rewrite could've made more memorable the characters of the two sisters in the story; however, I still enjoyed it, and I was awed by the fantastic silverback who was so sadly slain.

Thank you Frank for this thoughtful and excellent review. Yeah I think you are right. While limited by the confines of the contest rules, I may expand this narrative coming into Easter, and revise it commensurate with your suggestion after I've given it a little space to breathe.
