Straight Dope! This was a very creative & well put together
piece. And only one with amazing skills would be able to
create to the point, where you would be able to tell, that
you are a well seasoned writer. Keep Writing. And hope to
see you stop by my spot, to enjoy some of my poetry.

This is a slam dunk to win. Nobody here is anywhere near this creative. But it is a committee decision. You know. Those mysterious folks that run this place and decide EVERYTHING. They have a poetry contest here every once in a while called a concrete poem. Write about a star and make it look like a star. Write about tea and make it look like a teacup. Word processing skills are sometimes hard for people who just want to write about tea and are hell and gone from creating the form of a teacup. These types and many more will grin in awe at this post. You gonna' be a rock star, son. As long as you aren't banished. Superb, dude. Lynda

Lol thank you very much Lynda for this killer review. ASCII art is a lost art. And it used to be so simple. Re-creating it on this site took a few iterations. But now I know how to do it! This is about the extent of my artistic skill set. Maybe someday in the next life we will find out who is on the Committee. Perhaps we can bait them with bananas to tell us! -HFP

Ha! haa! Wow! I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation and your sense of humour. How did you manage to insert all those dashes, arrows and those signs? Must have taken a whole day! Anyway, hats off to your ingenuity! Gimme more!!:):):) All the best in the contest!

Thank you very much Seshadri! It wasn't too bad actually. Just a bit of ASCII art in Microsoft notepad. What took longer was remembering how to make it render properly on fanstory. It's all very simple HTML using the basic editor, with a bit of search and replace for characters that normally do not render in a browser, like the backlash symbol. If you want to experiment a bit, check out w3schools.com!

Ha, ha, ha I don't know how you were able to insert all of those arrows and lines but for sure it made the mystery more intriguing. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Thanks very much Iza! I drafted this basic keyboard art right in Microsoft notepad, and applied the Courier New font (a "TrueType" font) to make it work on Fanstory. A few other tricks were needed to make it view correctly. This was probably my first foray into this sort of art. Hopefully I will do more of it again sometime!

Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. I am truly impressed. I would never be able to do all of that with a computer. I can barely use Word. LOL Good luck with the contest.

Thank you Barbara, I'm very glad you enjoyed it! And thanks for the stars too. I drafted this basic keyboard art right in Microsoft notepad, which is about the simplest word processor there is. However, making it viewable on Fanstory in the format I wrote it took some work, and having to remember some things things I learned 20-something years ago, because the site is that old. You could definitely learn to do it if you like though! It is all just formatting markup, with free instruction at w3schools.com. You just have to make sure to save your work offline and copy into the basic editor when you make changes.

Lol on Theranos. I have someone in my family who is on the legal team representing the Theranos executives. Quite a coincidence. Loved the gallow's humor. You have a rare sense of humor, my friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you very much Theodore. This was a fun one. I cannot take credit for the original concept, but it was a lot of fun adapting it to the news on the Elizabeth Holmes trial that came out immediately after I posted it. That's pretty nuts that your family is connected. It looks like there were quite a few counts she was not found guilty on, so maybe your relative can take some credit for that! I wish I could remember more of these chain letters.
