Oh no - would the murderer strike again?? Enjoyed this scene. I like the Madge character - so fun and easy to imagine. I'm afraid Gale/Gayle might be a big suspect.

Comments:
GAYLE enters and sits in one of the chairs. (GALE)
I've heard that he and Gayle (Gale)

Question: Is the town Bellfield or Fairfield:
directing melodramas in little old Fairfield & Fairfield Methodist
but
He seemed anxious to get back to Bellfield,

Thanks so much for your review and comments.
Glad you enjoyed. It is Bellfield. I have trouble juggling all the balls in this. Too many players. I probably should have used Gayle all along, as that's the gal's spelling. But I'll stick with Gale. judi

My kids' doctor went by Gale so it can definitely spelled that way for women. I also saw it as Gail.

I'm glad I hadn't thought of Gail. I'd be more confused than ever. judi

Judi,

Well done. Sounds like a right-regular mystery of the highest order. Also sounds like the type of guy people might stand in line to kill. hahahaha Poor thing. I'll be looking forward to the next installment!

Thanks a bunch for your review and comments. Isn't that always the way. The victim usually leaves good reasons for him or her to kill him. There will probably be more complications before it's over. judi

Clay: We're still trying to figure out how the he got into the theatre. Did you lose your keys to the theatre at any time? (theater, & figure out how he got, you can omit 'the')

This what I saw: Clay: We;re still trying to figure out how he got into the theatre. Did you lose your keys to the theatre at any time? (theater & figure out how he got. (theater and you can omit "the". I get the unneeded "the" but was surprised that's all you had to say. judi

This was a great continuation chapter of your script, judiverse. Things are getting a little revealing, I would say. Gayle had a crush on Patterson who seriously let her down, Arlo also had a secret but he hadn't come out of the closet yet. I really enjoyed this one, only time will tell. Great job.

I'm so glad you enjoyed. I've been getting very few reviews on this play, so I don't even know if it's worth it to continue. I may try a few more scenes before deciding. judi

MMmm you do have to remember that Labor Day is fast approaching, the last big weekend until Thanksgiving, perhaps people are truly busy at this time.

It seems like the calendar knows, the month changes and thus the season change. Oh well.

I just learned from watching our local TV meteorologist that September 1 marks the beginning of meteorological fall. No wonder it's starting to feel like fall already. judi

This is getting more and more interesting, Judi. You're doing a great job of revealing these past relationships through dialogue. Some of them could be motive to murder. Well done.

Captivating! Things are heating up. A jilted lover. A premonition that the killer will return. Red herrings, perhaps? Perhaps not! Can't wait for the next.

typo: Clay: We're expecting out=>OUR second child

Thanks so much for your review and encouragement. I have to keep stirring things up. Things will come together more as we get into the second act. I don't know why I'm always typing out instead of our. Fumbling fingers, I suppose. Thanks for catching it. judi

This play is realy good. All of the character have their own unique personality and they act like people we have all known. It a small town where Clay seems familiar with almost everyone he is interviewing and he chats with them on a personal level. I'm enjoying this.

Thanks so much for your great review and comments, Beth. I value it highly. You make a good observation about Clay knowing most of the people involved. judi

This is going along smoothly. I'm enjoying the friendly (on the surface) banter between the women. I do wonder how much all the crime/police drama on TV have ruined us for these types of mysteries.

Good work.

Thanks for your review and the encouraging words. I haven't watched any of the recent crime/police dramas on TV. I watch the oldies. No doubt political correctness has changed a lot of how they're presented. judi

Well, there's a person that has a motive, Gale Johnson, apparently dashed and Patterson had something going and he left town without a whisper, she was really embittered by the whole thing. But I'll also say that these murder/mysteries are not that easily solved...but then, I could be wrong, beautifully written script Judy, blessings Roy
