It's a nice poem and amusingly descriptive. Found the same story when I came home to a week of no rain and dead mother's day flowers. But you have a more creative way of looking at it. Good luck in the contest.

Thank You for your review! We must?ve neglected our flowers at the same time because mine were Mother?s Day flowers too. So I bought another one that was beautiful from the farmers market and then that one looks pretty bad too.

It is always sad to see flowers die. They need constant care, like for babies. Flowers are the most beautiful things in the world, a true gift from God, and have been the subject of my poetic inspiration. My late mother was a true gardener at heart, and our garden was beautiful. In her memories I have written poems for every flower she planted; I have my own greenhouse library (smile).

It is always sad to see flowers die. They need constant care, like for babies. I know! I totally agree. It made me so sad and I love flowers they are so beautiful. I don?t have a lot of them but I have appreciated them more over the years. I love that you have written about all the flowers that your mom loved so much. What a great way to Xpress your feelings on some of God?s beautiful creation and your mom?s love. XOXO

I am not upset, it was great seeing some of the flowers on our deck come back to life after some tender care.
