What an opening! The writer of the play about to be presented, has been murdered. One would ask, "What is the motive?" Not knowing too much about all these former acquaintances, we can only wait. Time will tell.

Thanks so much for your review and comments. We'll explore the motives in upcoming scenes. I think there will be a lot of evasiveness on the part of most of the characters. judi

I had a feeling Mr. Patterson would be the deceased victim. It will be interesting to try to figure out "who done it". You have a variety of well developed characters here, anyone could be the murderer. I am looking forward to the next installment.

This is a great start and a terrific set up to the eventual murder revelation. I have no idea who could have socked the author yet, but I suppose that's how it should be.

Hello Judi.

That is what I would call a fast start to this story. It seems that the one man whose name is merely spoken of and not even introduced into the character list is already gone. From the other cast members we were told that he had a great reputation, but now it seems that is all that is left of him.

Thanks so much for your review and comments. I hope I'll be able to unravel the mystery. Maybe some of the characters can do it. We'll learn more about the murdered playwright as the script progresses. judi

Well done, judi. You've created interesting characters through your dialogue content and manner. Now there is the mystery and subsequent tension after the news about the murder of the playwright. We have to return now, to see what happens next. :)

What a fantastic introduction the cast. This left everyone in a deep sense of suspense. The question will now be, who killed Harvey Patterson? Lisa did a wonderful job with her singing. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. I really enjoyed the video.

Murder first thing! Great way to keep me glued to the story. There seems to be some rivalry within the cast. I first heard this song when Angela Lansbury sang it in "The Picture of Dorian Gray."

Thanks so much for your review and comments. Oh, I"d forgotten about Angela Lansbury in Portrait of Dorian Gray. We've just been watching her in some old "Murder She Wrote" episodes. She does go back a ways. judi

    She certainly does.

I can tell this is going to be an exciting script. You have some interesting characters as well. It is going to fun to see where this is going and who all will be under suspicion. I will be following as you post the scenes.

Judi, it looks like you may have a hit on your hands here. Everybody loves a melodrama and when the playwright is murdered and the entire cast is suspect you've got a super play-within-a-play. I predict big things for it.

You've done a good job of introducing many characters and letting us know something about their personalities.
That's one of the hardest things to do in playwriting, I suspect. Good job and I look forward to reading more.

Hi, Carol. Thanks so much for your review and comments. I appreciate your understanding about the characters. I have so many to work with. It's a challenge to keep them all in the picture. Probably it will come down to the police questioning them separately. judi
