Hi Sally, I love this song...but I am a music buff from way back when sweet girl...I was never without music...
and I still enjoy driving down the road hearing the oldies but moldies...
I made several CD's of all my favorite songs...
Frankie Valli could truly sing...and kept the teens of my time dancing...and singing...
I love your poem my sweet friend...and love the picture...
so very well written...love you...Linda xxoo

Hi Sally,
Great choice for #44 spot. You certainly have good taste in music. Frankie Valli had such a range in his voice, squeaking out those high notes precisely. I remember my Grade 7 & 8 days, my early exposure to dancing. The 60's were the best music this world has ever seen. I can picture myself in the Grand Bay High auditorium, dancing to those Frankie Valli tunes I knew best... "Big Girls Don't Cry", "Sherry", and "Walk Like A Man".
As much as I liked Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, my favorite rendition of "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You" is from Andy Williams...

I'm enjoying your Top 50 hits from bygone days. A song is like a Time Travel Machine.
Hugs,
Kimbob

I don't know if it was just my perspective or if you've done this before. I could hear your announcer/barker voice. The cadence was perfect. And of course you got one of my favorites. Extra good presentation.

I'm so glad you enjoyed this. Seriously, I could do this for a living if it weren't for my eyesight. The oldies station where I live is non-existent which is a real shame. Sirius XM needs help too and seems to play the same tracs over and over. My husband said: "They need you over at Sirius Radio!" What a nice compliment. I can't wait until Christmas.... It's going to be great. Sending you my best today as always,
Sal XOs....

Sally,
Anoother awesome presentation of your jukebox. My favorite song of theirs came out around 1975: December 63. This is a very informative piece, and I travelled back in time with you, though I was really young at this time. I remember hearing these songs at weddings and parties.
Good luck with all your writing.
Have a nice weekend and rock on. lol. Sorry, couldn't resist.
Hugs,
Blessings,
Cindy

This is such a romantic song and I clearly remember hearing it on the radio--both versions. You are doing a superb job with your Memory Countdown, Sally. I am thoroughly enjoying your selections and the comments about them. :-)

Yes, Sally:
That era was most definitely the best time in music ever. Of course, we may be a bit prejudiced, but who cares. I absolutely loved the triple scoop of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. I cried a lot through "Jersey Boys" - I had no idea things were so tough for them. Thanks so much for sharing.

I'm dating myself here, but I remember that one very well. Frankie Valli has a wonderful voice. I assume he still does. I watched a BeeGees concert on TV the other night, and I couldn't believe those old guys could still hit those high notes.

I've been listening to these great songs since I could talk. I have a partial photographic memory connected to records for some reason. I see the album covers in my memory and pretty much know all the lyrics to the songs. My husband says it's downright scary. Sending you my best today as always,

This is terrific tribute and the song brings back so many memories of parties, dances, riding around in cars with boyfriends and belting out our accompaniment. I will have to say that as wonderful a voice as Frankie had, I think Roy Orbison was by head and shoulders the best vocalist of the twentieth century, outperforming even The King. :-) i'll have to check out your other jukebox hits.

I thought I was going to break down when I read through the list of songs
that stole me breath, being that age around the time when this type of music was enchanting as it was romantic and I remember a few lost loves during that era of my love. I thank you with all sincerity for delivering a tunnel of love poem. Regards,

Your piece was a kind of biographic narrative of the music group. It rekindled the musical exploit of the group in the mind of your readers. Thanks for sharing, dear Sally. Lol!
