This was a captivating read for me. Non fiction, and gambling, and Gods' will. It can be hard to figure out what the signs point to in a world of chaos and choices. Part of me gasps at if a higher power would put someone into the mouth of mathematical probability stacked in the house's favor, and part of me relates to always trying to hear what path God might be pointing at. Like guilt quieting under a bigger purpose.
Everyone has a different path. I went to the casino a few times, and I'm pretty sure God whispered get the heck out of there, to me. As I just don't have the tools needed to be there.
This entry takes the reader along for entwining the trip with a bit of spiritual nudge.
A few thoughts along the way:
He planned to invest $20, combined with my $100, and we get two $10 free plays. (not sure...but maybe for clarity, do you mean...:

a little change for clarity if you like.
I was all set, ready to leave, and(but) Gary didn't want to accept his losses. (maybe use 'but' here instead of 'and')
