A beautiful poem that reminds us what really is home. It's where are memories are made and where we feel most comfortable to be ourselves and our loved ones. Thanks for sharing. Hope you have been staying well.

Wonderful trip through a life. Reminder of how important it is to have a home, for all those little priceless moments. Made me grateful to have mine especially during this pandemic. Well written. Reads out-loud beautifully. Thank you.

The setting out is subtle and underrated. It is modest and pleasant to read about home in this way. I guess it means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. Just like ET says, "go home." haha

This is a lovely poem. It evoked many emotions and left me with a warm feeling. Jelly handprints on the wall made me laugh out loud, darn kids. I look forward to reading more of your work! Happy writing. :)

Sad, sweet and beautiful. Oh the things our homes mean to us today. This poem is very well done and very meaningful.
"take their first steps
say their first words
ride their first bikes.."
The ending is especially poignant.
Well done.

Nice peaceful poem. The doctor part kinda ruins the visual cause you change scenery. Funny the puffy and threaten part. Positive wording. Good presentation. Thanks for sharing.

What I liked about this free verse piece was the easy conversational style, and all the details of these little moments we sometimes don't appreciate in our hectic lifestyle. But its the moments with that cup of hot chocolate or a glass of wine, when we take a deep breath and contemplate, that moment when you watch the snow outside the window or the rain, with your feet up by the fire, so to speak, that warms the soul. The hand prints of the grandkids, the memories of their first attempts at walking that we remember. Its home, with all its little moments, that lies deep in our soul. estory

This is a well written poem in the minute format. To me home is the place we go to rest, after taking a long vacation where we went to relax.

Absolutely deserving of the maximum. A perfect description of this journey we call life. Sounds very much like we've travelled similar roads. May the rest of your journey be just as good.

As Dorothy said, "There's no place like home".
A deeply revealing heartwarming biographical poem!
I enjoyed the progression as life unfolds parallel to the pace.
Lots of descriptive details without being too wordy.
Thank you for sharing.
