What a cool picture you chose. I like the lightness and humor: "And here I thought I was going to get a break when I stayed in Indiana. Not likely." I drove on a road like the one you describe. The speed limit signs said 30 but we were behind cars going 15. You have great dry sense of humor. This will draw the reader to writing voice.

The isolation shouldn't be a problem at this time, Alie. :) The snow driving is another thing. Yet, I don't know I just figured. Thanks for the view from above, Alie. You may want to look at this line. "somewhere near Greensboro. When we lived here it was near Greensville NC, so this is somewhat new to me." Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the update, Alie. So you're in NC not ND right now. I'm glad that you have the conveniences around. But it seems that Jim has to do grocery shopping with you. Hope he doesn't mind. I'm happy that we'll hear from you more now!

Alie,
Wow. That nomad life is something I cannot fully imagine. I can see how the time alone could be used to great advantage, but I would go crazy without my grandgirls. Thanks~!

Thanks Robyn, it really was the answer to my prayers, a nomad life. Besides my grandchildren are in Canada and Jim's daughter is in Spain, so we are all over lol.

I looked up North Carolina because I didn't know much about the place and found that currently it is a Covid-19 hotspot. So we have something in common. Bridgend, the county borough in which I live is popular with the virus too. Like you though I am well isolated and the most dangerous thing I do is to go to the store once every ten days.
I enjoy your travelogues they are most interesting to a foreigner like me.

Thank you so much Jim for reading, reviewing and your great comments. Some day the covid-19 will be a thing of the past. Jim -my husband is considered an essential worker- wouldn't want a house to blow up because of a natural gas leak. We have both been tested and are negative.

I am very glad to hear it. Good luck!

A very well-written chapter in your book "My Life" to travel through the country is a wonderful opportunity to see other parts you don't really know well. It is a great adventure.

Hey Alie.
Wow. There is something that stands out about the travels you are enduring. This is a big place and there are many spots in the US where you can be isolated. In my work life I travelled all over the US. I am familiar with Greensboro. It is smack dab in the middle of NC.
You lead an "interesting" life. This is a good chronical of your travels and travails. I enjoyed reading this chapter.

Thank you so much Robert for reading, reviewing and your great comments. Wow so you are familiar with Greensboro, so far I love the area, ironically when I left Canada in 1996 I came to NC where most of Jim's family is and now I am back lol.
-
You're welcome. Before I retired, I travelled into NC and SC a lot. I had very large customers there.

That's what I call seeing the US in an unusual way. What a wonderfully written little story. Best of luck with your writing, and be safe!
Have a great day, and God bless.
